Nothing irritates me more than this, especially because in many states that is actually considered poaching, and if it's not poaching *legally* the residents will still think it is and will shun you. The only time that's ever allowable is when it's population control and only for certain instances, like via aircraft or when smoking out rabbits. However I don't like that at all, so.
Wolfie, wolves have attacked and killed people and destroyed farms and property, and fake fur doesn't always cut it.
Really? In books and everything about wolves it says there has never been a record of a healthy wolf attacking a person in NA. I did hear a wolf pack attacked a zoo keeper in a zoo,but they could've mistakes her as prey,or she upset them in a way. But why people get killed by wolves,I know a way. They messed with them. Maybe, they went in the wolf's territory? [b]Well, whatever they're doing, they're just being a wolf.

Wolves were domesticated around the Ice Age and became our furry, cuddly little friends. I swear I'd cry for a week and a half if 1 species a wolf went extinct. I have more to say,but it may offend the hunters,so I keep it to myself and my family who understands. I just don't get the point of hunting. I just don't get it. make fake fur,for goodness sake. I really feel very strong about this and could type 30 paragraphs.

What about population control? And what about killing dangerous/destructive wolves that have shown little fear of humans and/or repeatedly prey on livestock? While of course I think people should do their part and not try to do anything to "befriend" or in any way embolden wild animals, especially large predators, and people need to use proper preventative measures to ensure that their livestock are properly protected in the first place, there are sometimes problem animals and if they cannot be deterred, it's best to get rid of them, especially if they pose a substantial threat to humans.
What's wrong with hunting wolves as long as it is done humanely and it does not harm the local population or ecosystem? What's wrong with hunting animals as long as it fits that criteria in general? Especially if they do what they can not to be wasteful and use the fur and meat rather than wasting it? Do you have any solid reasoning, or are your firm convictions based purely on sentiment? It's certainly not because they're more intelligent than other animals. Wild boar are very intelligent, but you don't see nearly as many people running around who fervently believe all wild boar hunting is cruel and it should be stopped. Wild boars are invasive and highly dangerous, but even when wolves present a similar problem, people still want to protect them. The main reason seems to be that they're simply not cute and cuddly and they don't look like doggies. People are less likely to post in their signature about how noble they think boars look and how they have a boar fursona and they abhor boar hunting. Instead, people love to talk about how tasty bacon is, even though domestic pigs are more intelligent than domestic dogs.

Aren't boars invasive, or just over populated? Either way I can agree.

No, they are invasive. Any species that is overpopulated, nonnative, and is causing harm is invasive. Just like starlings are invasive where I live. They eat food that native birds would usually eat and they will tear apart your house to get inside of it, they are overpopulated also thus making them invasive.

I doubt ranchers, who are going to be concerned more about their livestock and making a profit from said animals, are going to go hogwild killing every single wolf around them after a single pack is killed to help protect their means of income.

Ohiki<3er wrote:I doubt that. Sharks are attracted to blood, so unless they cut the dogs, i doubt they'd get more then 1 shark.
They may be twisted but they have to be smart at least. Well, smart enough. Not exactly 'smart' . Anyone get what I mean? xD
