Silverwater raced behind him, her long legs easily catching the pace

Bramblestrike kept running, getting nearer to the tunnel mouth with every pawstep.

Silverwater sent a burst of speed through her limbs. She bounded over the stretch of sand a reached the tunnel entrance. "Yes!" she yowled. "I win!"

Echostar watched the two bound away, her heart heavy. She glanced away from the enterance, attempting to push Bramblestrike away from her mind.

Boneclaw padded up to his leader. "Are you okay?" he murmured.

Echostar sighed, inside thinking, Suck it up Echostar, this is nothing. Don't let anything drag you down. You're loyal to your clan, not just one cat. "I uhm..." she sighed again. "Fine" she said finally standing up from her meal.
