Rhian looked at him before he walked off. "You're so ashamed that your family doesn't accept you that you don't even notice when someone else is willing to." She said as he started to leave. She didn't care if he heard her or not. "Lanny, we should get you home." She said and lightly put her hand on the younger girl's shoulder before she started to walk down the sidewalk.

Rein: I stopped and glanced back at the two. When she stated it like that it hurt. Not only because it was true, but because what was really going through my head was something else. I didn't want them interested, I wanted them to keep their distance. Why? I didn't know, I was always told I had a twisted way of protecting people. I watched them walk before I started to follow after them. "I-I...I can't go b-b-back n-now..can I c-c-come with you?" I didn't even meet their eyes and I was stuttering! My face a heating a bit, maybe because I wanted to say, 'Yeah, your right, let me change that.' If it wasn't the first thing to mind, I was bad with words.

Rhian looked over her shoulder. "We're practically family. come on if you're coming." she said with a warm smile. She'd be lying if she said she didn't want to pry him with questions... but she instinctively knew now was not the time. She stopped walking and waited for them to catch up. While she waited she silently fished a pack of Cigarettes and a lighter out of her pocket. "Do you smoke?" She asked after placing the filter side of the cigarette between her lips and lighting it. With a content smile she quietly blew the smoke out of her mouth and watched it drift through the cold night air.

I glanced at the pack and shook my head. "N-no, want to k-keep my v-voice for when I actually u-u-u-use it." I replied moving my sand into my pocket and shivering a bit more. I didn't mind the smoke really, I liked watching it coil up into the sky. I glanced back at the gates and moved away to catch up a bit better, being short wasn't the best, 5'4" n' all. I watched the cats follow a bit after us, though some dropped off, one was still on my head...how long had it stayed there?

Lanny walked quietly with her older companion. Her footsteps were almost silent. "all animals are the same. The cat ist stronger than most. Maybe they fear your power." her voice was soft and gentle, never lifting her gaze from infront of her. "anyone is amazing wether they are a flea or a hawk." she whispered.

Rein: I smiled softly, probably the first time I smiled in a while. "There much more to it." I explained quietly, wrapping my arms back around myself to fight off cold. Why couldn't it be a warm night? The only thing warm was my cat hat...I sighed and followed them wondering what the heck I was doing. I'd get roped back in wouldn't I? "What...was the school you said you went to?" Though I was sure they didn't elaborate before I could guess, or just have missed it.

Rhian noticed him wrap his arms around himself and shrugged off her long black trench coat. "Here. this should keep you warm." She said as she handed it to him. "And I'll take that as a no." She added and shoved the pack of cigarettes into the pocket of her black cargo pants. "The high school I went to was Kaibara. You?" She asked with a casual shrug.

Rein: It felt weird when she handed it to me but I was glad for the warmth. I wrapped it around me and made a noise that probably meant contentment. "Going...., sophomore." I finally replied, shrugging the coat on snugly so it stayed warm. I'd fall asleep then if I could though, find a nice park bench and....oh, I spaced out. Well, that was new...in a different way. "I'm only fifteen...Rhian." I tested her name on my tongue, it was kind of sweet actually, but a bit new, and I had a moment trying to say it.
