Realism is a must

In most real wolf packs there are rules to the pack. Most of these rules will be followed in this roleplay.
In this pack there is one set Alpha female, at this time her name is Avalon. At some point she will choose a mate, and if any disagree with this there will be a fight between two brutes who would like to have the alpha position at her side. Females are supposed to allow this to happen. It isn't like humans where the girl would get upset if two guys started a fist fight over her. It shows bravery and courage. Whoever wins will have that position. Fights like this will occur a lot. If one male gets injured, he cannot simply pop back up. He must take time to heal. After a fight has been won, if there are more brutes that would like to try and take the position then it is allowed. The alphess has the most say in this though. Usually it will be a week or two's wait before the next fight or battle occurs though.
Loners are not tolerated in the territory. It is considered as trespassing. A loner may stay at the borders and wait. If they wish to join the pack, they make their presence known. This is a big risk to take, because the alpha male, whoever he may be, would decide whether or not to accept them or banish them away from the territory. If this happens they will not be able to join this pack, and will be forced to try and find a new one. If a wolf from the pack falls in love with a loner and the alphas find out they are banished immediately. Things like this are not tolerated. Most of which when this happens will run off and start a new pack, or join a different one to join.
When it comes to food, the alphas are always the first to eat. After are the pups and elders. Then the rest of the pack will take what is left, and omegas come last. When it comes to food though, all wolves have to contribute to the kill pile. If you don't hunt, you don't eat. There are assigned hunters, but everyone must participate. It is the parents or the elder's jobs to teach the younglings and pups how to hunt before they can prove themselves to the pack.
Out of the alpha's first litter, a fae will be chosen to become the next alphess. After she is chosen, she immediately moves up to become co-alpha female. They usually choose their mate at a young age and if not she will move up to alpha position after her parents have moved on and died(There are no immortal wolves so they must all die at some point!). If she does not have a mate, then males will fight eachother to see who is more worthy to be the next alpha male. If she has a mate at a young age, then once they move up to alpha positions, he will be challenged if someone else would like to be alpha male. The females never fight over positions, for they are supposed to respect what they are.
Beta would be the alpha's second in command and are usually the ones leading hunts and/or raising the alpha's pups.
Delta would be third in command and takes in command of warriors.

Story line:

Winter is on it's way, which means life if about to get a lot harder for the wolves in this pack. Animals are going into hiding for the winter or have moved on by now so food is becoming very scarce. Most of what is left are the elk, who are used to this kind of thing, but it is not easy to take them down. Especially if you are on your own. Some of the wolves have been sneaking food out of the kill pile and taking it for their selves to eat alone instead of sharing with the rest of the pack, so there are some new rules that will need to be made to make sure everyone gets through the winter alive. Will you agree to these rules or rebel and leave to start your own pack as rivals? Your journey begins now and remember, every choice you make will have an impact on the rest of your life.

Oh yes, the lovely rules. The one thing that will keep this role-play in order. Now, before I go on and list all the guidelines to this, there is just one more thing. A strike and ban list. I guess you could say this works kind of like baseball or softball, whichever you prefer. If you are caught breaking or trying to go around any of these rules, then you will get a strike. Three strikes and you are banned from the role-play, no exceptions. Of course though, some rules aren't as strict as others.

◄If you are gone or don't post for two+ weeks without notice or warning you will be cut from the role-play.►
◄When it comes to characters, keep genders even. Make at least one male and one female. Limited to 4 characters each, not including pups.►
◄Be as detailed as you possibly can when it comes to your post. Pictures, creative font name, and of course when you type you need to be as descriptive as possible. This is supposed to be a semi-literate kind of role-play.►
◄Do not just poof out of the roleplay. If you are leaving either let me know or kill off your wolves. I don't like things to pile up for no reason.►

There were no answers to anyone who was interested in being a mini-mod to this role-play, so I have assigned one. Please welcome the new mini-mod of this role-play, тнe deмoɴιc αɴɢel.

Avalon has ordered one of the wolves to move the kill pile into an empty den or cave to be watched during the winter that is coming soon. Some of the wolves had been taking food and so it is time to set up new rules so no one will starve.
Shadow is out hunting and a female named Sora has joined him. They decided to go back to camp though since it was starting to get late it would start getting a lot colder in the afternoon. Shadow is now moving the kill pile into the Alpha's den by himself.

Callie, the omega, is upset because of something that's wolf named Brick had said and his sister, Rose, isn't too happy about it even though she isn't too sure of what is going on. Harlequin is now talking with Rose, trying to figure out the problem so she won't be so mad when she gets to Callie. Aatu is currently trying to calm Callie down and find out the situation as well. Hoping all this will be sorted out soon. Rose has decided to throw herself into the river and try to drown herself for her own reasons. Then she realized the mistake she had made and started crying out for help. Harlequin heard her cries and has gone out to try and save her from drowning. Brick decided to go and join both Callie and Aatu and Callie has apologized for what she had said to him. Brick also seems to be in a lot better mood.

Two wolves, Crooked Lies and Rising Winds, were running away from humans(?) and ended up running into a female by the name of Raven. The three are now speaking to each other.

Willow was out fishing near the rushing waters, looking to find some fish. All went wrong and when she went to catch one she slipped on her way back up and is now struggling to get back to the surface, much less land. The apprentice healer, Theresa, heard her cries for help and rushed out to save her. After many tries and Willow being knocked unconscious, they finally made it back to the shore.

Knight and Dark have decided to go out hunting, when they came back they saw that the kill pile was near empty and seeing Shadow, decided to ask what was going on. He told them that there was to be a pack meeting soon and that Avalon, the alpha, would explain it all soon and that it was a good idea to stay near camp for the rest of the afternoon.

Luke was out at the stream when another wolf, Flint, approached him thinking he was a loner. There was shouting and a small fight going on, loud enough for the Alpha to see that there was a problem and to go see if she could do something about it. Avalon is now speaking with the two males that she found in a fuss. She stopped what was going on and asked for an explanation. The wolf named Luke answered her and now she has given them both jobs to do. Flint is to go and help Shadow move the kill pile into the Alpha's den and Luke is to go out and let everyone know that there is to be a pack meeting that night.




So far only a few have received a warning, no strikes or bans yet. Lets try and keep it like this.

Ava is a rather quiet and to herself kind of girl. Yet this doesn't affect her ability to take charge or fend for herself if need be. She just would rather be on own taking care of things rather than having a crowd around her. Not exactly claustrophobic though. This does not mean she isn't afraid to go out and make friends or make her presence known. When she wants to, she can be quite the talker. Yet she focuses more on body language and actions rather than words, seeing as how some are very good at lying to her.
History:
Ava's history isn't crazy, dramatic, or sob-story filled. She is just another wolf trying to find her place in this world of all the rest. She was born to a pack that was ruled by someone of no relations to her. This was not very strange in most situations. Usually the head alpha would mate with most of the females when the season came, and then later he would choose his alpha and that was it. So it was pretty much one big family. Her mother though, was a loner looking for her own pack just as many others had been during that winter. The alphess accepted her into her pack without asking for any thought from her own mate, the alpha. This caused problems later on and since the female was already pregnant with a few pups of her own, they would not be accepted since none of them were blood relations. Silly rules of this alpha's pack. When the alpha had word that she had given birth to one female pup, he told the mother once she was old enough, either the pup alone would be leaving or they both would. Later on in life the young female wolf made the decision to leave without her mother and went on in search of her own pack to join since there was no welcome for her there if her mother was to be accepted. Ava had passed up many chances from other packs until she had set her eyes on one. This one intrigued her to no end, so she had to join. Her own history begins here, hoping to start her own family very soon.

Personality:
Just like every other wolf out there(well the ones he has known about anyway), Shade can have a bit of a temper sometimes. He can seem very cold hearted and cruel to most that have only just met him. This is only because of his past. Wouldn't you be a bit upset if you found out you had been lied to all your life, then come back to see that the one you were going to forgive was dying and you had to watch the slow death? Yes, it would indeed tear just about anyone apart. But this isn't all there is to him. No one has dared to find this out for themselves, but deep inside he is a very sweet and good-natured brute. Sometimes he can seem like a total flirt, but I guess that's just a male for you. He knows how to win over a fae's heart, but most of the time he doesn't go with the follow through unless he finds that he does actually feel the same.
History:
When Shadow was of a very young age(almost four weeks), he was abandoned by his real mother and left to die out in the snow. Because of this young age he never remembered this until there was a much older brute come to find him. He took him back into his care and raised him until he was old enough to fend and take care of himself. Now you would think that an older brute could not care for a pup that was only weeks away from being taken from milk into real food. Right? Well, this wasn't just another strange wolf. He was more of a healer or I guess you could say a wise old wolf. He knew more than most, and raising a small pup was in the least of his worries. Later on Shadow's life he found out the truth about how he had come to be with this older brute. Soon he had learned the brutal truth. All his life he had been lied to, him saying that he was his grandson and his mother had died. Well, this was only partially true. He was not blood related, but his mother was also raised by this brute. Neither of them knew why he had been abandoned in the first place, but after finding out about all of this he decided to leave. He didn't come back until a few years later at age 3 and half, only to see that his care-taker and friend was dying from old age. It was only a few weeks later that he had passed on and Shade took him to the river to be taken within the waters. Ever since then he has been on his own, searching for his new home and family from where he can be accepted.

๑ memoir :: Once he was old enough, Luke was cast from his home as the omega. Though that was not the case, since everyone though he would be too weak to live and fight, no one wanted him. Yes he is the omega of the litter. His mother abandoned him most of the time and failed to really care for him. Against all odds though he survived, thrived, lived, grew up and now is a strong and healthy wolf who just wants a pack. Starting from when he was about two years old, Luke found a pack and stayed with them until it became too crowded, he never cared for wolves so he left and tried to start his own pack. Needless to say that did not work, he found a few wolves to get started but they all turned on him and left. Luke was alone again, he traveled the land and decided to join this pack, hoping to become a lead fighter to show the other fighters his own tricks and techniques on fighting.
๑ perѕoɴαlιтy :: He is a brute who is not to be taken lightly, a tormented soul twisted up under a wolf's fur. He is can't be trusted, no one should deserve his trust either. For too long Luke has been roaming the woods looking for a pack to live in but where ever he goes is only bad luck. So really Luke is a dark and sort of mean wolf who many wolves leave alone. He has had too many bad run ins with other wolves who haven't treated him right. He likes to stick to the shadows and will only speak unless spoken to or if its urgent. Luke can be nice once you break that hard shell of his and open up his softer side, its rare to see but he can be a real sweet heart if you treat him right.

๑ memoir :: There is not much to tell, she was born and raised with her mother and three other siblings. When she was old enough she went out on her own when her mother kicked them out. She joined a pack and became part of the wolf family. But the pack soon died out and she had to find another one. Raven was alone for a long time before finally joining a pack, but one day she and others wolves left to hunt, she had become so focused on hunting that she chased the elk for miles, finally killing it. But when Raven looked back for the others they had left her, she had been left behind, along with a dead elk. Raven was abandoned at age 4 by her former pack. She wandered around hoping to find another pack to live with.
When she finally found her pack she had to fight to advance from an omega to a fighter. Sure she wished for a higher rank but Raven was content with her rank for the moment. It all changed when this jealous male, hating that she was promoted from omega to fighter in a year made him upset. One night as Raven slept in her den the male came in and attacked, the male was bigger than her and he trapped Raven inside. He tore her ears and left nasty scars all over her body. Luckily the alpha of the lack wandered by and saw it. He quickly saved Raven and exiled the male. Raven was left badly injured, she never really healed and her trust and social skills were limited to almost nothing. Raven dowsnt trust males and she basically hates them. Raven won't be mating with any males any time soon.
๑ perѕoɴαlιтy :: Raven is complicated, one day one of the nicest wolves there can be and the next, similar to a bear protecting her cubs. Raven normally stays away from wolves and will challenge them at totally random times for fights to see which one is tougher. She is not afraid and can pull her weight in the work around the camp. Raven hates to be thought of as weak because she is a female, she will prove you wrong and put you to shame if you decide to get in her way and try to make her cry. She is practical, not arrogant, nor ignorant. She is complicated like I said but other then that very fine to get along with and can make a wonderful mate if you impress her enough, trust me its hard to though.
๑ rαɴdoм ғαcт(ѕ) :: Raven, once a month will leave the pack, she goes somewhere completely secret and think. She hates to be seen or followed to her secret place so she makes sure to go in the dead of night.

๑ ғeαrѕ :: The one thing that she can not stand is fish. Awkward yes but fish to her, stare, they stare straight into a wolves' soul to steal it. She can't believe bears eat them.

๑ perѕoɴαlιтy :: Dark has a rather..interesting personality.She's more of the shy and quiet type and is often afraid to speak her mind.This makes her passive-aggressive at times and she can sometimes hold a grudge.She is guarded and fears that she will get hurt, which is why she never lets anyone get close to her.She is nice and sweet and dosen't like to pick fights.She hates fighting and tries her best to avoid confrontations.She dosen't really care what others think of her either, as long as she's alive and in one piece, she's happy.

๑ memoir :: Knight had always tried to see the positive side of things when he was young.He had seen the beloved forest he grew up in destroyed and when he lost that, he clinged to his family as they were all he had left.He despised the humans for moving into what he considered to be his home but he was outgunned and couldn't do anything about it.When his parents were caught and trapped, he never saw them again.And when he lost one of his sisters, it seemed all too much for this bright outgoing pup.And it was too much.His personality changed greatly and he became protective of his sister as she was the remaining family he had left.Being that he lost most of his family, he became disheartened and never wanted to grow attached to others, just to lose them in the end.
๑ perѕoɴαlιтy :: Knight is more of a tough and guarded wolf than most.He is strong and when in a bad mood, will fight when he's agitated.He dosen't speak much unless he has something to say.He's very rough around the edges and it's hard to get to him.He isn't very social or outgoing but the exact opposite.He's very protective of the ones he loves and will die for them.He is not one to toy with unless you really good friends with him.He will care for you deeply if you are his friend and is not one to abandon you in your time of need.If you betray him however, expect to be left for dead when troubles arise.He is unforgiving and takes things more seriously than most.He's a good guy though if you can get past his shell.
