The White painted building looks okay from far off, in the village. But closer up you'd notice the peeling paint, the rotten wood, the damp Walls... Welcome to the orpanage.

Inside it is little different, slightly more moderen though. The carpets are torn and dirty, the Walls are covered in handprints, and little has been done to make it more friendly-like. The rooms are small but are shared by two of the same gender, and close aged. The bunkbeds are rusty, the rooms smell and the toilets reek; but in the bedrooms occupants can decorate how they like.

There are communal hamsters and a dog, which everyone has to take care of, as a chore, along with cleaning, laundry and tidying. The TV and CD player are ancient and are in the small living room, which is next to the kitchen. The kitchen is the only place where the orphans are not allowed to go, apart from the lead care-workers office. This is out of bounds, unless you are being punished or fostered/adopted.

The orphans are not always orphans..some are runaways, and some put in by their parents. The orphans are aged 7-15.

Okay, this is a roleplay about surviving in an orphanage. We have runaways, orphans and giveaways as sections for you to roleplay. It is currently the summer holidays, but weather is as bad as in winter. There is no real plot*, so let your imagination run wild, though please make sure you are realistic!

History: Kat lived in a small house with lots of siblings in a city. Her parents didn't have much money, and she was picked on at school for not haveing the 'right' clothes. The final straw was when her parents started to drink to relive themselves of the pain. She wrote a note, left things to sell, took away the bottles and ran. She stopped at the orphanage two years ago, and has lived there ever since. She gets on well with some of the boys here.
Personality: Kat is natrually inquisitive and likes to question things. She also has fighting and rebelious manner and has a tendency to be impulsive and push through with things and not stop to think of the consiquenses. Kat is very quick tempered and has a sharp tounge, but at the end of the day she will appologise. She is loyal and kind hearted, but can throw tantrums.
Likes: Sweets, vidio games, violent sports, films and reading
Dislikes: Sitting still, girly-girls, fruit and hokey.
Strengths: She is strong and tough, and can stand on her own two feet. She has enough knowlage to keep her alive, and has the instinct of a tiger.
Weaknesses: She is a daredevil and will never back down to any fight, even ones she knows she will lose. Also she has anger problems and is known to hit people alot when she is cross.
Greatest fear: She will be kicked out of the orphanage.
Greatest wish: Her mum and dad will pick her up, and she will be able ro control her temper.

History: Anthony was born, an illegitimate child to an extremely poor mother. She never even knew who his father was. Anthony's mother suffered from severe depression, even before he was born and when he was a few months old, she tried to kill him by smothering him with a pillow. She was discovered and arrested before she could finish and Anthony was sent to the orphanage.

Personality: Anthony is a very quiet and shy boy. He has trouble making friends because he is extremely nervous around new people. He is extremely clever but doesn't often show it, preferring to just listen during class rather than take part. He often seems very innocent and naive, believing anything that people tell him. Even though he was always told that both his parents were dead, Anthony has always thought otherwise and believes that his parents will come back for him eventually. He prefers to let other people make choices and can be easily led or manipulated.
Likes: quiet, reading, fresh strawberries
Dislikes: loud noises, crowds, lots of attention
Strengths: he's extremely intelligent, he has an almost photographic memory
Weaknesses: he's never sure how to deal with people, he's very shy
