Horses are overpaying by a lot, based on the rarities of the horses and ponies and the demand of the cat.

Sorry, but I'm gonna disagree here. This Malk is an early '09 rare...it's about 1/4 the value of a low advent. Rarity math doesn't work at all in this case. Unfair to the bottom.
Not to mention there are other pets they are asking for. There's an '10 uncommon which probably covers at least seven of the horses, and other commons that cover about one each.
