Sebastain watched her call him.

Dain groggily answered the phone, having been worken up for a second time. "hmm?"

The vet looked at Ember. "You can try to put him on a diet till he's at a healthy weight...but looking the way he does, I'd recomend putting him down..." There's a lot of pressure on his joins and he'll most likely be diabetic and/or have athuritus...

"Hey Dain, it's me again..." Friesia pet Sebastian as she talked to Dain.

Bill looked shocked. "Put him down...?" he asked quietly. "I can't put him down, he's my best friend..."

"mhmmm..." Dain yawned.

Sebastain purred happily.

"end of the day, you know what's best for your dog." He nodded and left.

Friesia laughed a bit. "I can tell you've just woken up. Anyway, I was wondering if you'd like to maybe do something tonight? I don't care what, it's your birthday, I just thought we could do a little something to celebrate..."

Bill sighed and pet Ember. "There is no way I am putting you down. Never ever. Do you understand? I don't want you to think for even a moment that I would do that, unless you wanted me to." He hugged Ember.

Dain yawned again and sat up. "sure..." He yawned, he didn't even know how old he was...

Ember licked Bill's cheek and looked up at him.

Friesia smiled. "Okay~! I'll be over at seven. See you then!" She hung up and looked at Sebastian. "Who's ready for lunch?"

Bill smiled a bit and looked at Ember. "But the vet's right about the diet... You really do need to lose some weight, otherwise..." He couldn't finish his thought.

Dain just sat there and sighed.

Ember pinned his ears back and whimpered

Friesia looked at Sebastian. "You hungry?"

Bill pet Ember. "I'm sorry Ember, but... it's for the best..."

yeah yeah yeah! Sebastain jumped off her lap and sort of faceplanted the floor, his short legs and huge stomach litmited what he could do...

Ember wasn't whimpering about that...if Bill had to...he wouldn't know what would happen.

Friesia laughed. "Maybe a... light... lunch would be best."

Bill hugged Ember. "I don't want to do that. Please, please stay on the diet this time... You're my best friend, I don't know what I'd do without you..."
