Dern smiled to her, then thought a second, "Follow me a moment." he said to her, leading her off the human trodden path to another building, instead leading her off into the grass.

"Where are we going?" She looked about to make sure no one could see them.

Dern just smiled at her, then walked into a wall of brush, waiting in a small cove behind there for her to join him.

"Shaift?" She called for him, she pushed through the wall of trees and stepped into the small cove. She stopped and looked at him, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow.

"Both were fine last I saw." he said to her, taking another bite of his meat.

Dern walked out of class, and brightened when he saw Vesta standing there. "Hello gorgeous." he said to her, grabbing a hold of her hand.
