Story/art/personality:| Personality |
• Mosaic likes to keep to himself, and prefers to walk alone in the right direction rather than follow a crowd going no where.
• Mosaic is a shy boy who, despite his colours, likes to blend in with the background rather than stand out and be seen.
• Mosaic is a Chi Puff with a love for painting and decorating and this often makes him judging of other's homes and such.
• There isn't a book Mosaic doesn't likes to read; he sits in a comfy chair with his knees up and one of his tatty long-loved books propped on them mostly every night.

Mosaic sighed to himself, his tail curling round him like a scarf, as he wandered up and down the white wash halls of the art gallery. He’d been there many times before but still he kept getting himself lost, it was becoming a bit of a habit as Mosaic had thought a few corridors back. “Every turn looks the same.” He muttered to himself, turning the same corner for the fifth time that afternoon. “I’m sure I’ve passed this hall before.” Mosaic was right, he’d been walking in circles for hours and by now was hardly sure what it was he’d come to see.
Suddenly it hit him. The sign post swung forward on its rusting, brass hinges and the paint chipped board clipped Mosaic on the front of his head. Stumbling backward the little Chi Puff couldn’t help but smile, there swinging in front of him was a painted blue arrow indicating for him to take the right turn. ‘ MOSAIC GALLERY ’ the sign read in big blue letters and Mosaic’s smile grew even wider.
He followed the dashed line on the floor until it vanished through the centre meter wide gap under the glass panelled door. It wasn’t locked, the bolt was slid back and the door free to move, but it was stiff. Pushing hard Mosaic managed to jolt the door far enough open for a Chi of his size to squeeze through, as he did, and it revelled a wide room cluttered with tile pictures, dotted paintings and a single sculpture of what looked like himself. It wasn’t though; much to Mosaic’s disappointment. Very few Chi Puffs knew of him and, well, a statue of this little one would be hard to make.
“Who is it of?” He asked no one in particular but as he’d expected there was no reply. Gazing around Mosaic’s soft green eyes came across another Chi, standing in the far corner by herself absorbed in a mosaic picture Mosaic would have been gazing at himself. She was the prettiest Chi he’d ever seen.
She was chocolaty brown in colour with rings of purple, green and pink up her tail and on various parts of her body. Mosaic couldn’t see her face, only the pink of one of horns to the side of her goggle strap.
She’ll know, he thought,
for sure. With this decided Mosaic began to ponder about how to talk to the female Chi, he’d never spoken to a
girl before and felt shyer than ever. Before his fear could hold him back Mosaic trotted across the cold wood boards and stopped directly behind her; he didn’t want to speak but a tap on the shoulder would get her attention just the same.
Sure enough it did and Mocha spun round on her back paws to look at Mosaic. Her goggles slipped down from the top of her head, covering her eyes and blurring her vision with the smudged glass. “Um, hello.” She said; disorientated by her lack of vision but feeling a tad too proud to stop pretending that she’d meant for her goggles to be across her eyes. Mosaic almost gasped, he wasn’t expecting a reply of any sort.
“Hello, there…um…” he paused and thought hard about the Chi’s name but she hadn’t told it to him yet.
“Mocha.” Mocha chipped in, helping Mosaic out greatly.
“Yes, hello there Mocha.” Mosaic picked himself up where he’d left off as if he’d only forgotten her name from a previous meeting.
Mocha stared in silence as he tried to gather up what it was he wanted to say; l
ike picking up a pack of imaginary word cards, she thought, pushing her goggles back up onto her forehead with a paw. “Do you know who the statue over there is of?” Mosaic blurted, having run out of things to say. Mocha went on staring, the statue of herself shrugged back.

Tap, tap, tapping is what Mosaic loves to do, you will rarely catch him without his fingers tapping on a nearby surface.
Yes, he has a crush on my girl Mocha in the story but I'm not sure that it will go any where.
