(I dunno what to post for Em. Sorry if it doesn't fit but here goes nothing xD)
Emerald leaned back against the wooden wall at the back of the cell, the wood cold from being in the dark cold room. The cold sent goosebumps down Em's back but she barely noticed them. She sat with her knees propped up and her elbows resting on them, just staring off into nowhere. "How can we get out of here?" she muttered quietly to herself, her eyebrows furrowing in thought. All of her hairpins were in the wagon which--sadly--had been left in the pit. No hairpins, no lock picking. But what else could they pick the locks with? There were no sticks on the boat and the only other piece of jewelry Em had was Casper's necklace. The thin gold chain couldn't pick a lock even if it were magic. But then all the sudden an idea popped into her head, one that made her hopeful and afraid at the same time. Her hand flew to the emerald pendant that dangled on the chain, her hand closing around it. Could she trade the necklace for their freedom? Surely it was as valuable as a good amount of slaves. But if she offered Alsan the offer, would he refuse it? And if he did refuse he might still take the necklace, something Emerald didn't want to have taken from her. If she was giving it to him, at least it would be of her own free will and not snatched from her like some toy. But if she gave him the necklace, she lost the only piece of Casper she had left. She'd left his grave, his things, all the places they shared together, back in England and as far as she knew she wouldn't ever be able to return. The necklace was all she had left. But if it could get them their freedom, she'd have to try. She stood up and walked over to the bars at the front of the cell, shaking them and calling out to Alsan.
Alstwin woke up though kept his eyes closed, not wanting to meet the dawn of day just yet. He extended his arm, expecting to throw it over Arrowin, when it fell onto the floor. He opened his eyes then and it took a moment for his foggy mind to realize Arrowin wasn't there. And neither was her horse. He muttered curses under his breath and scrambled to his feet, grabbing his ax and tugging on his boots. It wasn't long to find the first few foot prints and once he did he just followed them, realizing she was heading to town. He ran the rest of the way, slowing to a walk once he reached the village though his panicking heart didn't slow a bit. What if the people who captured the Hood found her? What if they captured her, or abused her? Or worse, killed her? "Arrowin!" he called out softly, not wanting to alert anyone that he was here but wanting to find Arrowin.
