Oooooooooooooooooooh!!! Another chapter! Something evil happens at the end of this one... And guess who they find??

The Cell of Torture

“Ooh, you’ve escaped?” purred the wolf. “Well done. Come to find your lovely mate, have you?” he turned to Gaze, who growled viciously. Malvado raised his brow.
“Where is she?” snarled Gaze, stepping forward. He pushed past Guapo who grabbed his tail, holding him back. “WHAT DID YOU DO?!”
“Oh, she’s fine.” Replied Malvado, turning to face them properly. “For now. See, as long as she’s breathing, she’s OK.” Twilight gasped and Gaze lunged forward, with Guapo holding his tail tight. The Alpha was struggling to hold onto him, his front legs scratching the floor. But Gaze pulled too hard. He leapt forward and Guapo released, sending Gaze running for Malvado. But the devil wolf easily moved out of the way, smirking. Gaze skidded to a stop at the wall opposite.
“Where is Tune?” he snarled dangerously.
“Father,” whined Twilight, squeezing past Rai and Guapo.
“You took her!” barked Gaze. Malvado chuckled.
“I don’t see why this is such a big deal. You brought about 40 of your pack-members to the Shadow Territory, just to retrieve a few pups your… female.” He purred. He walked around the fire positioned near the left wall, with Gaze on the other side. Twilight watched as they stared at each other through the flames.
Guapo walked in, taking Gaze’s side. He was joined by all the others, with Twilight nervously looking around the room for signs of her mother. But the cave was small. The only things in it were the wolves circling the fire.
Then she had an idea. This tunnel went on. She could be down the hall; they just turned into the wrong cave... she gave Rai a nudge with her nose. He looked at her in alarm. Come on, she mouthed. He looked at her in question, then looked at the face-off. Malvado was on the other side of the flames… they could get out…
Twilight grabbed Rai tail and dragged him from the room. They tumbled into the dark hallway. “What?” whispered Rai.
“She’s in another cave!” hissed Twilight. “Come on!” Rai looked into the room in doubt, before nodding to his partner.
The pair ran down the tunnel, the orange light fading behind them. It became dark and eerie, with no sounds but their heavy, choked breathing. Suddenly they spotted a room. A very dim light shone from the mouth of it. Twilight and Rai looked at each other nervously, before approaching the door.
They went in to find a very small fire in the middle of the room. The cave smelled of blood, fur and pain. They warily walked around the fire, Twilight keeping her eyes peeled.
Suddenly, she saw something. The orange light reflected off the white, blood-stained fur. The fluffy chest rose and fell slowly. Twilight choked.
“Mother..?” she whined. She approached the furry heap nervously, listening to the strangled breathing.
“Twilight…” said Rai. Twilight looked at him and he gave her a lick. She was very, very nervous. She turned back and lay beside her.
“Mother…. is… is that you?” she whispered. She noticed that around Tune’s neck was a birch collar, with a worn-out rope attaching to the wall. Suddenly, she moved. Very slowly.
“Twilight?” she whispered. She rolled over, groaning in pain. She winced.
“M… mother?” whined Twilight.
“Twilight-Mist?” said Tune, her eyes widening. They were dull and very pale. She was not blind, but she looked it.
“Mother! You’re OK!” yelped Twilight. She leaned in a gave her a nuzzle. Her tummy was fluttering again and she buried her face in her mother’s fur. She could feel Tune trembling, and her coat smelled of blood and filth.
“Oh, I thought you were gone!” she whined to her daughter. “Oh, Rai! You’re here too!” she said in delight, though her voice was faded.
“Are you OK?” asked Twilight.
“Oh, don’t worry about me.” She groaned, trying to sit up. Twilight put her head under her as she fell down again. “Are the others all right?”
“Yes. We’ve got them all out, but we had to come back for you.” Twilight replied.
“Where is Malvado?” Tune suddenly said, her voice becoming worried and sore.
“He is in the other cave. We have some wolves there trying to get him,” said Rai.
“Oh dear!” yelped Tune. “He’ll kill them!”
“No! Mother. It’s Guapo and Gaze, as well as the best wolves in the pack.” She gave her a friendly nudge, but she could see Tune’s face was worried.
“Now, we need to get you off this chain.” Said Rai, coming forward. He leaned in and grabbed the collar with his teeth. Tune lifted her face away as Rai pulled and chewed at it. The birch wood was tough and very hard for him to bite through. He pulled and pulled, then started lifting it up over her ears. But it was tight. No matter how hard he pulled, the collar would not fit over her head. It pushed the fur up around her neck and she made a small choking noise.
“Rai,” said Twilight. He stopped, releasing the collar.
“We need to get it off.” He snarled at the rope. “I know! I’ll chew through the rope. You have to help.” Twilight hesitated. But it was the best plan. She and Rai went over the rope and Rai started biting it. He chewed and chewed, breaking the wood fibres one by one. It became more loose, then he released.
Twilight came forward and started chewing at the same spot. She shook it about, breaking the rope. She could feel it snapping. Just a bit more…
Suddenly it broke. It fell from her mouth and hit the floor with a thud, and just as Rai barked with joy, there was a yelp from the hall. All three wolves looked up in surprise. That wasn’t Rai yelping. And it was loud.
“Father!” howled Rai, charging out the door. Twilight tried running after.
“Mother…” she moaned to Tune. She was limping on.
“I’m coming, darling. You go.” She said. Twilight smiled weakly. She bolted out the door. Up the tunnel she went, and just ahead she saw Rai’s curled tail disappear into the fire-lit chamber. She followed him in, to find Ihaka unconscious on the floor.
“Father!” yelped Rai again. He pushed past the others. Malvado was standing over the wolf, a wicked smiled spread across his red and white face. “You killed him!” snarled Rai.
“He’s not dead.” Purred Malvado, stepping off him. “Just sleeping.”
“Raargh!” roared the out-raged pup. He crouched in the position he caught in. Rai held him legs steady and his tail up, ready to pounce.
“Rai!” yelped Twilight. But it was too late. Rai had sprung forward, up into the air. He came down quickly onto Malvado, who snarled. But his face was evil. Happy.
As Rai came down quickly, Malvado suddenly lifted his paw. His claws were huge. Talons like an eagle. Rai’s face had an expression of fear, and Malvado swiped. There was a huge yelp, and a bit of blood. Rai fell to the ground, his chest open. A deep wound cut his chest.
“Rai!” howled Twilight, rushing forward. Malvado laughed evilly. Rai breathed slowly, shakily. She looked at the cut to see it was terrible. It dug into his ribs. “Rai! Speak!” Twilight sobbed. Malvado kept laughing.
“You monster!” snarled Caesar, bearing his teeth at Malvado. The devil growled back, revealing a big gap. Twilight looked immediately at Gaze, at the big tooth that hung around his neck. She had never put it together…
Suddenly her father leapt at Malvado, trapping him in a corner. Snow joined him, as well as Caesar. It was chaos.
