Jasper never had much contact with his mother, because she tried to stay away from his father as much as he could, and Jasper was forced to stay by his father's side to learn how to rule.

He smiled, and led her to where they were to sit.

Cara smoothed out her dress, then sat down beside Jasper.

Jasper smiled, discussing issues with the villagers, their concerns that they have voiced. Jasper declared that at the Crowning, he'd give an Oath to them that he'd never stoop as low as his father.

Cara smiled a little to herself, piping up every now and then to add new ideas to the conversation.

Whenever Cara spoke up, Jasper beamed. It was easy to see how happy she made him, and that was all the people around them needed to back her up one hundred percent.

Cara glanced over at Jasper when she'd finished talking and smiled at him. He looked extremely happy over something, which made her happy as well.
