Dust scattered as he did so, and his ears flopped over when he tilted his head to get a view of the Medicine Cat. "Oh i uhm... I fell." Hawkpaw at least didn't lie through his teeth. It was partially true, but the tom didn't need to go into further detail. He couldn't tell if she noticed his expression of worry of her finding out; for she was a wise cat. Answering her question of the early morning, he replied, "Well.. I was one of the first up.. And i stumbled out of the den, landing on my twisted paw." Hawkpaw hoped that the white she-cat could tell he was lying. After all, Medicine Cats must always know the truth if they are having to treat and heal them. A brown striped paw wiggled up and down as he almost hissed in pain. Tears formed at the ends of his emerald coloured eyes, but were slowly pushed away.
Hawkpaw flash backed to what really happened. The sky was light enough for him to see, as the Sun wasn't even fully risen. Nobody was awake, and the first thought was to go exploring. He saw no harm to his idea, as he would try to hunt. If the tom was to bring back fresh-kill on his own, maybe he would be rewarded! Hawkpaw foolishly rushed out of the extrance sneakily before bulleting out into the forest. His paws raced as their sound pounded in his ears. The birds hadn't even woke up to start chirping. Squirrels were in the trees, and rabbits were still in there dens. The only prey Hawkpaw expected to be out, were the mice.
The clumsy tom didn't look where he was going, as he got distracted by imagining getting complimented by the Warriors by the fresh-kill he would of got on his own. "Wow! He didn't even need supervision." and, "He caught that by himself? Without the help of his mentor? Thats quite a good catch as well! What a strong and courageous tom. We are lucky to have him in our Clan." Hawkpaw had then blinked back into reality as his paws tripped over an abandoned rabbit hole. The right paw twisted all the way around before gravity through the apprentice to slide over the earth. Within a split second, Hawkpaw had felt the pain of bashing his body into a log, his then fractured paw slamming into it first, turning it to be broken.

He caught up to her, his cream-yellow pelt bristling lightly, his head tilted lightly, he was panting. "You're faster than you look!" The tom purred, happiness obvious in his eyes. He flicked his tail lightly, and rolled his tabby shoulders, his pelt looking rather interesting near hers. He gave a small smile, his ears flicking. The jump over it hadn't been very hard, considering he was in great shape, he simply wasn't the best jumper, and his recent tendonitis had made it difficult. He gave a light smile, glancing over the river, he dug his claws into the earth underneath him, a light, contented sigh escaping his muzzle, a happy purr escaping his throat. He raised his head to sniff the air curiously, then tilted his head further. "I love the smell of a river..." He smirked.Mood
Happy. Content. His eyes darkened and he walked forward suddenly, crouching down, he suddenly pounced, a squeak sounding out from beneath his paws, it was a mouse that had just happened along. He bit it quickly, killing it with one hit. "Oh how nice." He purred, bringing it over to the she-cat.♦ : F L I C K E R D A W N : ♦♒ { Concentrating, Thoughtful } ♒"Can anybody find me somebody to love?
Each morning I get up I die a little
Can barely stand on my feet
Take a look in the mirror and cry
Lord what you're doing to me
I have spent all my years in believing you
But I just can't get no relief, Lord!
Somebody, somebody
Can anybody find me somebody to love?"
Flickerdawn laughed, continuing on towards the river. "And don't you forget it!" she yowled to the tom behind her. Her body was made for running. Though that came with a disadvantage for she wasn't one of the stronger fighters in the clan. In fact, her body was quite fragile. She'd known that most of her life, but it was still annoying to deal with, watching the other apprentices train and have fun while she'd have to train and practically fear for her life. It wasn't that she was a bad fighter, just couldn't handle long-term fighting. Her body would give up before her mind would. Her bone structure had formed as a small, easily breakable skeleton. It made her angry and sad. But she was the fastest in the clan and one of the best at climbing because she was agile and small. Sure she had muscle, but nothing compared to the others in the clan. Her fluffy pelt just hid that from their searching eyes. Thanks to that, she was lighter on her feet. Much lighter.
She skidded to a halt when the two clanmates finally reached the river's edge. She stood beside Lighteningtalon, catching her breath. When she heard him mumble how he loved the smell of the river, Flickerdawn broke into a smile. "Me too," she purred quietly. She sat down once she'd caught her breath, licking one paw and tracing it over one ear before lowering her head slowly towards the river. She leaned forward on the sandy shore, watching the clear water ripple slightly and caught small glimpses of the multicoloured pebbles on the riverbed. She closed her warm, amber eyes as she lapped at the cold, refreshing water. She drank happily, not noticing before how thirsty she'd been. When the bright, orange she-cat heard a sudden rustle before and no longer Lighteningtalon's voice, she jumped in surprise.
Flickerdawn whipped around in her fright, jumping in the air as she did so. Crystal-clear water droplets dripped from her muzzle, indicating she'd been clearly drinking. Her breath became quick and short and laughed nervously. "Geez... I don't know why I'm so jumpy all of a sudden..." she mumbled to herself quietly, her tail-tip flicking awkwardly. As Lighteningtalon came back, she swallowed and broke into a smile, seeing the mouse. "Well, I didn't expect to find something so close right when we got here!" she purred and blinked at him with her beautiful, seductive eyes. Her smoldering good-looks always seemed to sweep every tom off their feet. She padded right up to Lighteningtalon, regarding his handsome looks again. She blinked slowly, the sunlight sparkling in her amber eyes. She purred deeply, staring him in the eye for a moment or two, then licked his cheek. She pulled back, winking at him. "Let's share," she mewed in a silky tone. She lowered her head to take a delicate bite and licked her lips, nodding to him to eat as well. She curled her feathery tail around her paws, still smiling at the lighter tom.
