Do Elves grow potato's?

We are not known for it. Elves prefer lighter and more energetic food, such as lembas bread. I guess that is why we are so light.

Lembas bread? It'd take much more than that to fill a Hobbit. That's why I had mashed potato's for dinner, with pork sausages and gravy.

In Mirkwood we don't make salad, it's too dark to grow lettuce and tomato's, but I made a nice Bag End salad to remember our dear hero Frodo Baggins, and for creative day.
