"You have food?" Tantric questioned, looking over the lion's shoulder to make sure he was telling the truth. Sure enough, there WAS some prey there...And she was hungry. "All right, if you're okay with it. I'll eat with you." She stepped over to the dead gazelle and examined it critically. "Nice catch."

Dawn

Dawn stood up and padded into a shallow part of the water. She let the water swirl around her ankles then lay down, so it only just came up to halfway up her belly. She lapped up a little more, then looked back at Roman and Alaska. She looked into the distance, it was pretty much desalate. She could see a few hyenas but they were a long way away.

Roman

After looking over his territory a while longer, Roman leapt down off of the boulder in the center of his camp with a grunt. He padded noisily through the bushes, not caring who heard him--he had no need to be stealthy at the moment. He looked over and saw that Dawn was soaking herself in the river and Alaska was sitting happily on a rock not too far off. A warm feeling crept into his heart as he watched. "Already my lionesses are happy and confident enough to enjoy themselves. There has been almost no struggle at all--very different from what I imagined. I like it."
