Saying 'directionaters' makes me feel guilty. idk why, probably because directioners are so mean nowadays to anyone that doesn't know one thing. I swear, on my first day of finding out about the boys, I got sent this message on instagram with about 50 messages.

I knew absolutely NOTHING since I had only discovered the boys that day. Damn, she grilled me on stuff I didn't even know! Then when I got it all wrong, she called me a bunch of stuff that I can't really say on CS and said I was a disgrace to 'directionaters.

Aw now that's pretty mean, I kept my 1D loving in secret exept at school, so I learned things about them all by myself, since nobdy else in my family was a directioner.

I first found out about One Direction when I was scrolling around YouTube and came across the video for WMYB.

AND THAT'S HOW IT ALL BEGAN!

When I first discovered these beautiful boys, I didn't even know their NAMES. I knew that Niall was the blonde (but I wasn't even sure how to pronounce his name) and I knew that Zayn was the one with black hair. But I had absolutely no clue which one of them was Harry, which was Liam, and which was Louis. I kept getting them all confused, especially Liam and Louis. Plus, at first I thought Lou's name was pronounced like "Lewis".

So no, I didn't know everything about them at first either.

And I didn't watch them on the X Factor, but I'm still a directioner. I've seen people who were all like, "You're only a true directioner if you've been with them ever since the X Factor!"

But that's not true. You don't have to have known about them since they became One Direction to be a directioner.

To be a true directioner, you have to love them not because of their good looks or fame, but because of themselves. Their personalities, their voices especially.
