(( Well, you see Aroi...

I don't like the way that sounds. Too formal. Bleh -.-

Alright, so Silver (post-apocalyptic) doesn't want her characters to already be in the pack, she wants them to be bumped into by a member of the pack. Desto was wondering if that member of the pack could be you, Aroi. Or, I guess that would be Okami.

You know, if you want that to happen. ^^ ))

{Sorry for my absence! School has been kicking my butt lately and I haven't had time to get on! The only reason I'm on today is because Hurricane Issac got school canceled! I promise to have my replies up soon!}

"If you are to survive
As a family
You must stay
For if the number
is broken now
The monsters will come alive
More fearful than thought in the day"
She informed him, wanting to get through with that right off the bat. She had been thinking of it for a while and had come up with a possible explanation. Thought it could be wrong, even if she doubted it was. When was she wrong about her own gift? Never, she studied it as best as she could by herself. She could always call upon her apprentice to help but the young dog didn't know enough to help Siren in her mind. In Siren's mind she would need to learn more about it before she could help study it. She stood up and began pacing back and forth, diving into thought quickly. "I believe it means that something will come in the night if we fall apart. We cannot let something come in between us Bruce." She said, stopping and turning to face him. She sighed and sat down, small bits of debris rising around her. She took in a deep breath and looked at him. "Not every prophecy is good. Some predict death, others a great tradgedy, I have seen very few tell of something good." She told him, referring to his earlier statement of 'isn't that good?'. It wasn't always good and she had learned it through the years. With a defeated sigh she slid to the ground, she needed more time to think about it. But she knew Bruce would need to hear it first before she could do what she always did. Sit for hours in the dark to provide very little distraction. "What do you think of it?" She asked him, turning her eyes towards him.

((Aww, what? No one wants to fight with Lyra? LOL Oh well. Anyway Destination, Lyra and Naill can find post-apocalyptic's charries if you want. Assuming that's alright with Naill anyway.))

Having been frustrated and out of place ever since her former masters took her out of the country and away from everything she loved and knew, Lyra has plenty of stored up frustration and anger to feed off of. Yet with her curt and completely disappointing answers, Okami robs her of the chance to vent, to find any comfort or companionship from this pack, not to mention completely denying her any knowledge of her current situation. Yeah, you know what? I already knew that. I've been living it ever since they brought me to this wretched place. Maybe it would be better to just turn and run. I bet it would take you an awful long time to catch me, and I could take at least a few of you with me before I go... For a moment, her anger flares and her eyes narrow dangerously, but in the next moment everything is gone and she feels simply empty. What is the point in raging against the inevitable? There isn't one. Just like everything else in this cement prison, it is meaningless. As quickly as the excitement of finding the pack and being accepted came, it has gone from her, and she says nothing as Okami simply passes her off to yet another dog and wanders away.

Standing there flat-footed, she doesn't even bother to look at Naill. Instead, she looks out over the darkly waving waters of the Hudson River, the inky dark mirroring the shifting unrest that has shadowed so much of her life. So I've been given up on again. What's the point of even trying anymore? I've no idea what I'm supposed to do, or why they're all so stupidly afraid of whatever it is they're afraid of. Since no one is going to bother to explain these so called rules I'm supposed to follow, then I'm going to go hunt. At least I can feed myself. With that thought in mind, she simply walks past Naill and out into the orange glow of the streetlights.

(( Fine with me <3 I don't have good internet where I am right now, so I won't be on as much. T.T

"There are many different languages in the world, but as far as I know, a smile always means the same thing."

Niall had been staring at the black waters of the Hudson River, watching the waves lift up, then down and had just started to ponder about how crowded it must be in there when his thoughts were broken. He shifted slightly, turning to the sound of the voice, and wasn't surprised to see Okami trodding toward him, with Lyra a bit further back. In just a mere few seconds, they had traded places: Okami now alone and Niall with a partner. He watched the fae's dark shape fade into the night. I wonder where that girl is off to now. Oh well, at least I have something to do. He turned to smile at the newcomer, but instead faced air. "Wha– Lyra? Lyra!" Turning sharply and lunging after the female, he ran to keep up with her rapid pace. Once he was by her side, he placed a paw in front of hers, then swung the rest of his body around so that they were face-to-face.

"Lyra, you can't just strut out into the streets of New York, that's too dangerous. And don't say that danger is your middle name, although I'm sure it is, but that's not how things work around here." Heaving a large sigh, he hung his head. Life could be really hard, and though he didn't show it, right now Niall felt like a truck was running over him repeatedly, crushing each part of his body over and over. "Sorry. Just... Sometimes, I feel like nobody listens to me. Like I'm invisible or something, you know?" He lifted his head to look at her, and for a moment, it looked like his eyes were clouded with grief, dispair, but also with knowledge beyond his years. After a long pause, he opened his mouth to start again. "Why don't I show you around. I'll answer all of your questions."

((I've got an idea- if your interested. Okami can come pick up Lyra again after Nial's done talking with her, and they can go out on a "mini-raid", where they bump into Silver's characters. Lyra and Okami are just too alike, It'd be a shame if they didn't end up friends or something of the sort xD. They could have, like, bonding time (lol) ))

    As he listened to the prophecy, he... wasn't sure what he thought of it. It really sounded as though it was a warning, but what could it really mean? As a family, you must stay. Family. They were a family, he knew that. And families did have to stick together, but he could only hope that the fact that it was brought up didn't mean that anything bad was going to happen to them. If something did he would never be able to forgive himself, especially since he had now had a warning. The monsters will come alive, more fearful than thought in the day. Those were the two lines that really bothered him. By the monsters did it mean the fabled monsters of the prophecy? Or, something worse. That was what really disturbed him. He wanted to talk to Siren about it, but even though she was right there, he couldn't quite find the words to verbalize what he wanted to say. When she began speaking, that helped his mind click back on.

    "In the night? Do you think that it's referring to the monsters of the original prophecy?" He then thought about her words. She was right. If this prophecy were to leave any impact, it would be best for that impact to be not to let anything get between them. "Yeah... Don't we all wish that.." He understood that she was saying that what he said with 'isn't that good' was very false. Even so, he felt that even though the prophecy was not good, the fact they had gotten one lifted an immense burden off of his shoulders. The true prophecy was surely going to be coming soon, he could just feel it. And now that they had gotten another one, the fact that it was so threatening made him feel even mure sure about his theory. But since it was only a theory, that in his experience might only be just a hope, he decided not to say anything about it to Siren.

    "I don't really know what to think." He thought before saying what he said next, "I feel like you're right, that it is a warning. But what could it be a warning for?" then he paused, "And most importantly, do you think we should tell the pack?"

    edit ;;
    (( I was thinking we start the prophecy sometime next week or the week after that, what do you all think? :3 ))

• | Zach | Brute | Apprentice Radier | Pup | 5 months | •

      The air seemed to be a little more chillier where Zach was but that didn’t really seem to bother the pup that much. All attention was focused on the little mysterious big that could jump. He had never seen something like it before, every time he got close enough to touch or grab the bug it just hoped out of his mouth and down the street. Sure he loved running after it but after every once and a while it would jump and bite him, making Zach yelp a little at the unexpectedness of it all. It didn’t really stop him though, Zach would just walk back up and run after it. Even though he knew that he should be going back towards the pack, he really just couldn’t leave the little jumping bug .

      Pouncing on the bug once more he quickly moved his paws out of the way before picking up the large jumping bug in his mouth. With his tail wagging at a fast pace Zach started to walk back the way he came, yelping when the bug started to move again and dropping it. Growling a little at the bug he tried to pick it up again only it jumped up and away. “That’s not fair, your not meant to bite” Zach growled before lounging forwards and picking up the bug in his mouth once again. Opening and closing his jaw a few times before he heard a crunch, immediately he spat the bug out, not really liking the pass that appeared in his mouth. Shaking his head a few times he laid down near the bug before looking at it. Crawling forward and nudging the bug with his nose he looked around a little. “Oh, it’s dead now” Zach muttered slowly. Licking his lips he nudge the bug again before looking up. His ears perked in case he heard anything out of the ordinary.

      Looking around when he heard some other dogs talking he stood up, silently as he could moving to look around the place. Moving under the bridge he tried to his best to stay quiet as he listened to what Bruce and Siren seemed to be talking about. Catching the word ‘monsters’ as he advanced towards them, hearing the word he decided it was good if he hid. Doing his best he decided to stick to the shadows, his ears perked up as he tried to listen to what they were saying. Anything else and he would be good.

Though her ears are unable to turn back like other dogs, they still perk when she hears Naill call her name behind her. Oh what, NOW somebody want to talk? What the heck... No. I don't think so. Following that train of thought, she just keeps walking and forces her attention back to the water's edge in front of her. However, it seems as though whomever it is is rather determined to get her to stop and moments later a stocky tan and black shepherd hurtles past her. Skidding to stop in front of her, Lyra stops and looks down at him at him sullenly.

At his question about being invisible, she just looks away, not wanting to answer. Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Everyone here is so wrapped up in their own little bubble they don't have time for anyone else... She stands there thorough the long moment of silence between them, eventually closing her eyes and drawing in her strength again, doing her best not to let the whole situation overwhelm her. At Naill's offer of answers, Lyra simply shakes her head and opens her eyes. "I'm too tired and hungry to ask questions anymore. So I'm going to go find something to hunt. Why don't you come with me and then perhaps later you can explain why everyone is so stupid and rude?" She says, not really caring what the answer is to her question, as she has already decided that is what she is doing wether the shepherd follows or not.
