Wendigo, I thought there was a rule? Maybe not. But Lighty, normally you come up with you're own fursona and design. You don't go out and use Vampiric's or Malk's or Tess's or Nick's or another mod's design and claim it as your fursona. That doesn't make much sense.

That would be art-theft, I assume. It's not anyone's except the creators (Tess, Malk, Vampy, Nick, etc) so that wouldn't be right or fair.

What if we always give them credit for them and never use them off this site? I know a lot of people have other people make fursona's for them. I don't know. I have never called lighty Jr. my fursona, I always refer to her my mascot and never used her off this site.

Lots of people have mascot pets, so I don't see the harm in it. Plus, you aren't using it off the site and if you were, the website address would still be on the image. :3

They are not always Newbies. They are older members too.

That's the sad part. The users know better, but they do it anyway. It's like they got to thinking, "Well, I should give it a shot and see if it works. There's no harm in that." But they don't understand how annoying it is to be answering those same questions over and over again and wasting our time doing that instead of other things on the forums.
