Samantha glared at Pestilence, and felt her hand glow a yellow bright color. She would protect her sister no matter what. She placed her hand on Tikal, and the girl instantly fell asleep into Pestilence's arms. "Don't bother us, or you'll be sorry." she threatened.

Nina landed besides Pestilence. "Be careful." she warned Pestilence. "She is a sin." She'd have to explain her presence later, or maybe he already knew her.

Chloe glared at Pestilence, and without thinking, waved her arms and a blue-like force field came over the two. She glared at her hands in awe, but kept her ground. "Don't bother me or my sister."

He is starting to think that every one of the large deities is trying to influence the sins and virtues, when it was he and his brothers jobs originally to do it, and hire people to help themselves. His manhoo- I MEAN- neutrality has been MASSIVELY compromised, so he's not going to be the nice fatherly guy for a while.))

Pestilence raised a brow at Tikal. "Oh, and you're NOT?" he asked with sarcasm blatant. He wasn't even trying to hide it anymore.
The only thing that made him more angry was Tikal being put to sleep... Sorry, but this cow-boy was not in the mood to play. Since day one of this job he had been stepped on and foo-barred by everyone else around him because he followed the rules. Now God had been hiring other people behind his back? The Sins and Virtues were having there powers activate faster than he could keep up with? Famine betraying the horsemen?

"Darlin', I am one of your gaurdians, as well as the three-hundred and sixteen year old embodiment of disease and nature... Don't. Even TRY to piss me off, girly." He assumed the fatherly pose, lifting one of his fingers up to the air. "I've had a looooong day, trying to make sure that the earth YOU'RE supposed to help keep in balance doesn't CRUSH under YOU.... And besides; you couldn't even put me to sleep if you TRIED."

He looked to the woman who had supposedly been hired by God. "The nature of her alignment does not account for her personality. In her past life; Greed was evil. Now; she is one of the most giving people I know. Wrath used to take lectures from Martin Luther King Jr. NOW she wants to bust some heads."
Pestilence pulled down his bandanna, letting the green smoke rise from his mouth. "Didn't the big guy put ME in charge of this opperation?... Why does he keep on hiring help without my knowledge?"

"I think that's what Vic always means when she uses that word." Zania mumbled, taking a drink of smoothie. "Pass the fries."
Beatrice passed them over and frowned at the pacing Victoria, "If you have a brilliant idea why are you still pacing...?" The twins and their pretend sister Beatrice were sat in a ridiculously empty cafe, Zania and Beatrice were sat in a booth while Victoria paced up and down the squeaky floor. Beatrice being sat there meant that there could be no cat fights between the twins as they were both being affected by Beatrice's neutral powers.
"Because I remembered that Einstein is no longer alive."
"That was your idea? To ask him? Well we are doomed."
"Along with the Earth."
"Nice."
"I don't need guilt tripping! You weren't there Bea and Zania it was your fault too." Victoria sat down next to Beatrice and grabbed one of the milkshakes from the table, taking a drink from it. "I think this milk is off..." Temporarily distracted, Victoria let Zania carry on the conversation.
"Right so our problem is that somehow we got cursed by an angry pharaoh who thought I was in love with him and I wasn't since he's wayyyyy too young for me and has bad breath--"
"Remember that we aren't interested in what kind of guy you like."
"Shush. Anyway, what I'm wondering is where he got the snake venom in the first place? How does an eleven year old boy come across the snake venom of the snake of Eden? Anyway what is the curse you didn't tell me you just rang me up and literally shouted down the phone really fast emergencyfamilymeetingcomequickit'sanemergency..."
"Oh it's quite simple, I'm going to die, Victoria is going to stop healing and you're going to keep falling asleep till you don't wake up anymore."
"Right... Any ideas how you're going to die?"
"It better be something cool, not just stupid like getting run over by a bus or getting electrified by a toaster..."
"I think I'd go for the toaster option... More inventive."
"Are you both seriously talking about the best way to die...? Victoria looked between her sisters before smacking them both around the head. "And this is why we're terrible at solving things, we get distracted by things like shoes--"
"Ohh I bought new shoes!"
"Shut up! Right, here's the plan... We find out where the snake venom came from."
"So basically, we're as clueless as we were before?"
"Yeah pretty much."

Twenty minutes discussing food and shoes later...

"Ehh that makes an incredibly small amount of sense but you have a small brain so I guess it works for you." Zania frowned at her sister as she finished off her plate of food. "But we have no other option so I'm up for it."
"So basically... We just... wait."
"I'm working on it, I can't think of anything we can do..."
"We wait to die."
"Got any other ideas?" Victoria grumbled and got up again, Zania and Beatrice soon followed. The three grabbed smoothies at the bar and left to walk down the road and stare through windows looking at shoes.

"W-what just happened." Tikal said, eyes half-opened. She was irritated hearing his comment, but just stayed down, to see if he could handle himself. She was tired of his attitude. He had to get over it.

"Well I guess we won't bother you then." Samantha stated, running off at a very fast speed. She had enhanced speed, and powers dealing with sleep, but she wasn't going to think of it now that Chloe was in danger. She wanted to lose them, and fast. "What a jerk." she muttered.

Nina didn't even show sign of being annoyed. "Calm down, it's not like only you wanted to protect the sins and virtues. We all wanted to help out. So stop your whining and get your mind back on track. Now." she said, now being a bit annoyed. He was acting like a child.

Chloe buried her face in her sister's shirt, crying a bit. "They're scary." she muttered.

The horseman took a deep sigh."It's nice ya wanna help. But please- lemme do my JOB. Security is tight, and I'd appreciate it if I could blame myself before " Pestilence uttered, his patience running thin, though he seemed to have calmed down.
At sight of Samantha darting away, he turned quickly. "... On second thought; watch these two here, please. I'll be right back," he said as he vanished in a puff of smoke.
While he was in his smoke form; Pestilence could travel faster than a human car. A trick that took the past century to master, and since he constantly drove around these streets; he had a little bit more know-how than Samantha did.
He reappeared faster than she could realize what happened, and stuck his hand out over her mouth. "Sorry, but ya kids need ta listen... Now sleep."
Pestilence was never... Truly was not a gas. Since he had died centuries ago; he smelt of smoke, he constantly oozed it from his mouth.... Cigarettes couldn't harm him, and they made up an excuse for how he smelt... But...
Well...
What could you do?
His gas its self was not noxious, but it worked as an anesthetic. Better, in fact.
He caught Samantha as she fell down, holding her under the knees and by her back with surprising fragility. She hadn't fallen asleep quite yet, but she bordered on unconscious. "You can thank me, and maim me later..." He gingerly walked back to the van, placing her in the back seat and buckling her up... Yeah. Technically this was kidnap, he didn't blame the kids for reacting that way.... But he really wasn't TRYING to be the bad guy.
He looked to the remaining kids and took a deep breath through his nose, calming down.
"Okay... Kids;" he said as he sat cross-legged on the ground. "I know you don't know me.... And I know I look scary right now... But I am not the only weird thing you have seen today, ain't I?..."
He waited for the kids to respond, and continued once they were done. "My name is doctor Patrick Rawlings... Most people call me Pestilence, or Pezzy, though... I am one of the horsemen of the apocalypse, and it is my job to make sure you take care of your powers."

Tikal frowned at the way Pezzy was acting. She ignored the comment he made and just followed, hoping the girl wouldn't beat them to a pulp later.

Samantha felt an overwhelming feeling of sleep, and fell into Pestilence's open arms after she tried to get his hand off her mouth. She suddenly closed her eyes, holding Chloe's hand and vowing to destroy the guy later, whatever he was, magical being or not.

Chloe screamed at the top of her lungs, and it made Tikal and Nina cover their ears, and Tikal wake up fully. However the gas Pezzy used still kept Samantha asleep through the scream. "You're a kidnapper!" she yelled, banging on the van. "LET US GO!" she said, putting a blue force field around her.

--> Master of Spinjitzu♥ all of the sins and virtues aren't that good at using their powers. They aren't going to be able to control their powers as well as Chloe seems to be, and Samantha cannot have two powers.

"..." Pestilence wordlessly got in the drivers side, which was strange for him still, because in the UK people drove on the left side of the car, instead of the right... But god what wouldn't he give to have Bea or Victoria here... Even the latter would stick up for him. Heck, hopefully most would.
His horse honked twice quietly and opened up the passenger door.... A gesture for Tikal and Nina to get in.

Lorelai found it strange that she knew more about ther situation than Cyrus did right now. Lorelai was the type of person that was never "in the know" for one of two reasons: she either didn't care to know or no one cared to interact with her long enough to let her know.

"Pestilence wanted us to meet him here," she said as she turned and leaned back on the car. "He's decided to be mysterious and refrain from telling us why. I, for one, think he's being a bit dramatic about it. Maybe he was in theater or something before he was Pestilence."
