Kai yawned as she padded outside, her paws thudding as she treaded sleepily through the snow. She saw her Buddy, Dane. She sat across from him,"hey Dane "she said with a smile .

(wait, no... Dane is still a wild dog and doesn't become part of the team until the original lead dog in Blake's team gets badly injured, but they can secretly know eachother :3)

Dane: He wagged his tail when he saw him friend. "Hey Kai, how's your team? I really hope you guys win the race this week!"

Kai smiled ,"whe're good. We been practicing really hard, or, at least I have. But your coming to watch us right?"

Dane: He nodded his head. 'Hopefully the humans wont see me, last race, right after you guys passed the starting line, a man saw me and almost took his boot off to start smacking me away with it!"

Kai growled," I swear, if he does that again, he'll find himself in abeam cave chained to a pole."

Dane: "Well at least I got to watch you for the entire race, I always follow it so I can jump right in if a dog gets hurt."
