Wow, that's awesome that your barn is so close! You could probably WALK out there! i'm jealous. xD
Our days sound fairly similar. I think that a lot of horsey people's lives go the same way, lol
@gam gam:
Can't wait to see the video! I'm sure that you'll look great!
One glove? That's not good. xD I'm always losing my gloves, though. But my trainer is constantly giving me all of her spares so I have lots and lots.
That actually sounds relaxing to have some free time, lol. I just take a long time on homework, I guess. And we get a TON of it.
I hope you can half lease her! And you need to get her a bonnet.
The word is not sporty, it's ADORABLE. Oh, and I got pictures of my new bedazzled bonnet. They're awful pictures because I just took them in my house, not on a horse, but you can kinda see it. I'll try to get some better pictures of it on an actual horse tomorrow. C:
The pictures are here. There are some pictures of Sly, too. And one really awkward video of me talking to him in the annoying high-pitched voice I use when I'm talking to the horses (like saying "hey, handsome pony!") lol
EDIT:
Oh my gosh that video is so awful. xD I say "Blessss you!' in the worst voice. xD But you can actually see little Sly man in all of his glory, so...

YOUTUBE! Check out my Channel if you like horses

@Hunter- I'm glad your horse is okay! Colic is nasty and really scary sometimes
@Hano- That's not good for your barnMaybe you could just ask them about it, like 'I was wondering what to do with my 96 hours now that we have these new rules?' It wouldn't be the same, but maybe you could suggest, if nothing else, that you could just use it for hacks instead. Also, I feel for you about wanting a bit of help schooling Kat. I wish my trainer or my other trainer/his owner would ride Jesse more often. He's not as green as Kat, but still.
@E.urka- Newfoundland? That's a pretty cool place to be! I'd love to visit the Maritime provinces some day. Anyways, I've always been told that buying used helmets, even if they say they are new, isn't a good idea. If they've been dropped or had a fall or anything just once, they won't do their job properly. Also, you could go into that English store just to check it out, if you haven't. If you are looking at Troxels or Tipperary helmets, all of our local English stores carry those as well as the fancier Charles Owens and GPAs.
If you don't mind me asking, what is the horse scene like in Newfoundland? Are there lots of barns and horses, or just some?
@Rain- Congrats on the Riley lease! I hope your trial goes well.

I had my lesson yesterday. My dad came to watch, which was a really nice surpriseUsually my parents get there for the last 5 or so minutes of my ride. It was also the last day of the open house, so I had some audience. I was actually kind of worried that I would be distracted, but I was so totally not, which I'm happy about. I can honestly say that I was so focused, even just looking away felt hard lol. Does anyone else do that, where you kind of focus your sight on a spot in the distance ahead of you, and you just kind of stare at it? Like I'm always looking forwards, but it's always directly ahead about 20 feet and I'm not really looking, just that's the direction my gaze is. If I didn't have to watch his headset and where we were going, I would ride with my eyes closed and it wouldn't make a difference xD
ANYWAYS, off of the random topic, but Jesse was a star AGAIN yesterday. It was SO MUCH BETTER then my last lesson. It feels like we are actually going places now. I'm pinpointing my problems more, and I'm going to work so hard to fix them and then it's going to be AMAZING. I am so excited to work more this year, ride more, and get better even faster.
