Rubystorm and Jellyspark sat next to each other outside the nursery, both were heavily expecting kits. Jellyspark slightly less than Rubystorm.

Shrimpkit and Maplekit squeaked in complaint.

[wolf ;;]

Butterflight purred and flicked her tail. Lionkit ducked away from his mother.

Wolfkit was playing with a leaf outside the nursery.

[walk.]

Rubystorm lay back, sighing. She felt something oozing out of her and then a sudden pain and mewed, "Oh fox dung... My water just broke!"

[wolf ;;]

Skyfoot was sitting outside the medicine cat den, and the calico perked his ears when he heard Rubystorm, he got to his paws and went over to her. "What happened?"

[walk.]

Rubystorm grunted, "Water broke, kits coming I think! Can you get Moonheart, he wanted to be there!" she growled and kneaded the ground with her paws.

[wolf ;;]

Skyfoot nodded, and he flicked his ears. "I'll go and get Moonheart once your in the nursery." He meowed, and he helped the queen into the nursery.

[walk.]

Jellyspark watched anxiously as Rubystorm was helped to the nursery and placed her paws on her own belly. She sighed, she was actually terrified of giving birth.

[wolf ;;]

Sandyfern saw Skyfoot bring Rubystorm into the nursery, and guessed she was having her kits, so she shooed all the kits out of the nursery.

[walk.]

Rubystorm lay down heaving, she looked greatfully at Sandyfern. Falconkit mewed, "Where are we going Mumma?"

[wolf ;;]

"Outside." Sandyfern meowed. "Sparrowsong, can you make sure the kits don't go in the nursery? I'm going to stay in there and help Rubystorm." She asked the red tabby, and she nodded. Sandyfern then padded back into the nursery, since she had two litters, she was the most experienced queen.

Skyfoot flicked his ears, then he padded out of the nursery to get Moonheart.
