Lightningtalon smiled lightly, a light of happiness in his icy blue eyes. He caught up to her, his cream-yellow pelt bristling lightly, his head tilted lightly, he was panting. "You're faster than you look!" The tom purred, happiness obvious in his eyes. He flicked his tail lightly, and rolled his tabby shoulders, his pelt looking rather interesting near hers. He gave a small smile, his ears flicking. The jump over it hadn't been very hard, considering he was in great shape, he simply wasn't the best jumper, and his recent tendonitis had made it difficult. He gave a light smile, glancing over the river, he dug his claws into the earth underneath him, a light, contented sigh escaping his muzzle, a happy purr escaping his throat. He raised his head to sniff the air curiously, then tilted his head further. "I love the smell of a river..." He smirked.

Happy. Content.

His eyes darkened and he walked forward suddenly, crouching down, he suddenly pounced, a squeak sounding out from beneath his paws, it was a mouse that had just happened along. He bit it quickly, killing it with one hit. "Oh how nice." He purred, bringing it over to the she-cat.

Moments later the pale furred apprentice stalked back to the place she left Darkpelt. Quietly she sat down in front of him and dropped the mouse. Tilting her head in curiosity she wondered if he would be able to stay awake long enough to actually eat the mouse.
"Darkpelt...Darkpelt~ if your too tired to eat i'll leave this here and let you sleep."

Darkpelt raised his heavy head, shaking it to keep himself awake. "No, no! It's fine; thank you," he insisted. He smiled gratefully at Mysticpaw, amazed at how nice she was acting towards a random loner like himself. I swear, if I didn't have a warrior's name, I would be dead meat by now. He licked his licks, glancing down at the kill. He lowered his jaws and sank his sharp fangs in the mouse's flesh slowly, trying to get used to eating a real piece of plump prey for the first time in weeks. His instincts came over him and his eyes flashed at the taste of fresh-kill and he practically attacked the thing. He finished it in a matter of second.
The handsome, black cat gnawed at the bones until there was practically nothing to look for anymore and traced his tongue along his jawline to clean himself up and let out a content sigh. Darkpelt grinned at the apprentice. "That was perfect. Thank you, Mysticpaw." He then let his eyes droop and laid his head back down on his paws comfortably. Just think. I'll finally be able to call myself a clancat again tomorrow! If they accepted him, of course... His dark eyes were closed almost instantly and he snored softly as he finally let himself sleep.

Mysticpaw stayed until she was sure the new arrival was sound asleep. Her blue eyes blinked slowly as she studied Darkpelts unkempt form, but it was under the messy fur and tired body she saw the truth. He was a well trained tom and as lethal as a warrior if her suspicions were correct. Standing to her paws she began to walk backs towards camp to inform her leader of their guest.

"I'll be back soon Darkpelt...I hope you will be welcomed..." she murmured softly
