Why did I choose the name:
I choose Brambleleaf because I love warriors, and he remind me of one slightly. My favorite cat of all time is Brambleberry, so I took that and replaced 'berry' with 'leaf' to honer the leafs on him. He is a beutifull boy, and I hope to win him.
Gender:
I personally can’t see this handsome guy being a girl, so Brambleleaf will be a boy.
Personality:
Brambleleaf is a goof-ball. He loves to stalk my foot, and will playfully pounce on my foot, and pretend to bite my, snapping his jaws no more then an inch away from my foot. He has never bit me, but I am expecting to be bitten, it all comes with owning a rune. Bramble pretends to be this big and tough rune, growling and lunging at things, but the moment they move, he will run, flapping his wings as hard as he can, and hide. Bramble likes to sleep under the bed, and I must be careful in the morning when I get up, for he lays with his tail sticking out from under the bed. Bramble loves to run and play, and loves wild carrots. When I am eating carrots I must be careful not to leave, or else he will steal one. He will sneak over to the table, raise his head just so his eyes are over the table, and swipe one away. It is rather funny to watch, because once he has one, if you say his name, then he will look at you with a ‘what? I didn’t do anything!’ look on his face, and the carrot hanging out of his mouth. When Bramble gets sad or scared, he will sulk under the bed, and hide, yes, with his tail sticking out. Bramble very rarely gets sad, as he is happy go lucky. He can be classified as a scardey rune, always running and hiding. Brambleleaf can be a little full of himself at times, but that is only when he is trying to impress somebody. Brambleleaf loves his home, and I love Brambleleaf.
Why do you wish to have him/her:
I have been wanting a rune for quite a while now, but just haven't won the one I want, or haven't found the one I want. The moment I saw him, I knew he was the right rune for me. The thing that drew me to him is probably the eyes, or the leafs on his belly. I love every inch of him though. I know he is the one for me becuase all day, I have a tab open with him on it so I can stare at him. He is very handsome, and he has a great personality.I do belive that Brambleleaf would make a great first, and posibly only, rune. Bramble is my dream rune.
Where will you keep him/her:
I will keep Brambleleaf in my siggy, and on my art room wall. Not to mention in my heart. I might will also make a thread for this special boy.
Would you like to breed him/her in the future:
If I can find the perfect girl, then yes. But he will not be for breeding only. Bramble will be a pet, and I hope that any girl will feel super lucky to have him as a mate.
Any Quirks:
Well, Bramble has an odd way of ‘reading’. He will lay on his back, and hold the book upside down. When he finds he cant read it, he will rattle his wings in frustration and then figure out that the book was being held upside down. It really is quite entertaining to watch. He also will rattle his wings to make a noise like a rattle snake when he is upset or super happy.
Other:
’There’s a snake in my boot!’ Brambleleaf hugged the little Woody doll. His favorite movie was Toy Story 2, and his favorite person was Woody. Then Buzz, then Bulls eye, then Jessie. Yes, you can say its odd that a rune dragon would like Toy Story, but he loved it, and he didn’t care what everyone else thought. Brambleleaf suddenly spaced out, going into a day dream where he was in the movie. It was at the part where Woody met Jesse and Bulls eye. The odd thing was that he was Woody. He fixed his hat and tried to get the bolt unlocked, just like in the movie. Then suddenly, he heard something behind him, Bulls Eye. Then before Bulls Eye could make it over, Bramble heard a noise in real life. He looked behind him, to see the lock of the door click open. He had been home alone. Brambleleaf shook his wings, making it sound like someone was there, he was just about to run into his mama’s (my) room, the door opened. Bramble's owner and her parents walked in. Bramble imedently bent down into a crouch and started to stalk the smallest pair of feet.

And who is left, but Brambleleaf!



Brambleleaf raced as fast as he could across the field. It was precisely just after moon-high. The full, orange moon was giving an eerie glow on the meadow. The meadow consisted of green, starting to go brown, grass, a few wilted orange flowers, some bare spots, a few deserted, sandy, anthills, a few spots of snow, and a cushiony layer of pine needles where the forest started. Some curious animal, perhaps a lone red squirrel, or a pack of hunting coyotes probably tracked most of the pine needles out of the forest. Deep in the forest the deep, sad call of a Great Horned owl rang out. Before you could say ‘Brambleberry swallowed a cricket’, the call was answered from another part of the forest. There was a few puddles from an earlier rain storm on the ground, and all scent tracks had been lifted. Brambleleaf was utterly lost in this strange, dark world. He had earlier been playing in the creek that ran just past the meadow. Oh yes, the creek. The creek was long and narrow, and it seemed to never seize its bubbling and splashing as it continued on it’s journey to who knows where. Brambleleaf was terrified, but the creek comforted him. As Brambleleaf ran, there was a sound, as if something had just ran through a puddle, and indeed, the closest puddle to Brambleaf was stirring, the ripples in it showing that it had not been Brambleleaf’s imagination. Brambleleaf cowered and rustled his wings, making a sound like the warning call of a rattlesnake. Brambleleaf crept forward, and jumped as he saw a shape dart out of nowhere. Brambleleaf chuckled to himself, he had gotten frightened by a small, not even fully grown cottontail rabbit. The poor rabbit had probably wandered out of the forest, and was now trying to return to it’s home. Brambleleaf feared for the little rabbit as an owl called, closer then ever. There was no time to think of the rabbit though, Brambleleaf needed to get home. He walked on, splashing through a puddle. The air temperature water left small droplets of water running down Brambleleaf’s leg. Brambleleaf soon made it to the welcoming shelter of the tall, pine and oak trees.As Brambleleaf continued on, he felt comforted by the familiar feel of the pine needles under his claws, and the sound of the creek. Brambleleaf soon found what he was looking for, a medium sized pine with twisted roots that shown above the earth. The roots at one spot opened up, and made a whole just big enough for a small animal to crawl through. Brambleleaf crawled in, and soon nestled down into a nest of woven branches, leafs, and mud. The inside of the nest was lined with soft down feathers, most likely from ducks, or robins. If it wasn’t for the needles of the pine, high, high above, you could have looked right up and at the stars. Brambleleaf fell asleep, happy to be home, and awaiting his dreams.

Shy. Sycamore doesn't like to be watched, and he certainly doesn't like being approached. When in a crowded room, he prefers to hide among potted plants in hopes of not being noticed.
An Early Riser. Sycamore wakes before sunrise each day to watch the day begin. He finds the sounds of the birds as they wake to be soothing and loves to watch the water as the light scatters over the tiny ripples.
Loud. Sycamore doesn't mean to be a loud creature, but he constantly makes noise unless he stands absolutely, perfectly still and holds his breath - which isn't typical behavior for most creatures.
Curious. Sycamore loves exploring dark areas, and will stick his head in places where it doesn't belong. Antique vases, china cabinets and glass sculptures have all met with a terrible fate after being introduced to him.
Innocent. Sycamore is incapable of bearing ill will. He doesn't mean to be trouble; he just is. But it's hard to resist the sad, lost look in his eyes that appears when he is scolded.
Why do you wish to have him/her:
I've been stalking the Rune Dragons since... I don't know how long at this point... but I never applied because either I didn't connect to it, or my colorblindness stood in the way. But this time.... I live out in the country, and I have a healthy respect for thickets and brambles that appear every now and again. Even more so, I relish in all of the plant life out there. Seeing Sycamore just reminds me of the tree row behind my house, and that brings both the thought of home to mind and a huge smile to my face. <3
Where will you keep him/her:
I'm currently working on a character site, but it's taking a while. I have many characters I need to make pages for.
Would you like to breed him/her in the future:
Perhaps, yes. But I'll be really picky, so it might never happen.
Any Quirks:
Sycamore has two major quirks. One, he wakes up before sunrise to watch out the window of his shelter, and two, he shakes himself thoroughly every couple of hours or so, thinking a bird has nested somewhere on his body.
Other:
Sycamore snapped awake, his huge eyes blinking quickly to shake off the sleep. It was still dark, and the crows were cawing dismally, as they always did in the last moments of twilight. As quietly as he could, the dragon pulled his sleep-stiff body to the large open window overlooking the lake, staring at one particular spot on the horizon. The sun had just barely poked out its first rays of sunlight, bleaching the dark sky.

He was just in time.

The mockingbirds were the first to wake, and Sycamore did his best to mimic their complicated songs and teach them his own gravelly tune. He loved to hear their voices, and always tried to communicate with them. Then there were the cardinals, all of which piped once and fluttered away nervously. Sycamore's head sank slightly; though he seemed to understand that the nervous little birds would never be comfortable around him, he didn't like being fled from.

The chickadees and finches were next, as well as the resident wren, which bravely hopped down and screamed its song at the inquisitive dragon. Sycamore stared at it, his ears ringing; close range and the echo in his shelter were enough to make the song earsplitting. He carefully nudged the little bird away, grumbling sadly.

The rest of the birds woke up as the light split over the water. A cacophony of noises contrasted with the shimmering pool of gold - gold that matched Sycamore's own eyes, and the tiny bell he'd nearly eaten off of the resident cat's collar.

The day, it seemed, was going to be a good one.

Personality:
Sylvia is quiet and somewhat shy, but very intelligent as well. Unfortunately, she gets irritated fairly easily, often leading her to snap at them. This has led to a few... Mishaps, for lack of a better word. When not irritated, she tends to be friendly, though not especially sociable when compared to others.
Why do you wish to have him/her:
I've yet to adopt a Rune Dragon, and this little one seems like a perfect fit. It's overall appearance is incredible, as well, with the leaves and twigs working perfectly together for a beautiful effect.
Where will you keep him/her:
I will keep her in my signature, and, hopefully, draw her throughout my gallery when I have time outside of school. If I have the time, I hope to create a thread for all my characters. (I could really use one, to be honest... ^^')

Any Quirks:
She often has a twig of some sort held in the side of her mouth, similar to a certain creature she saw on my laptop screen once. Ever since then, she often watches the anime it was from with me.
Other:
Sylvia stared at me, then back at the laptop on the table. She gave me an odd look, clearly not understanding why I'd been sitting there all day, especially when the words coming from the speakers were clearly not something that I understood.

"It's an anime, Sylvie," I said, glancing at her briefly before turning back to the screen.

She rolled her eyes. That was a given, with how often I watched those things. She was more concerned with what one it was, and why I was watching it in Japanese. Annoyed, she hopped onto my keyboard with a chirp, minimizing the video and switching screens in the process.

"Sylvia, get off my laptop!" I exclaimed, trying the switch the screen back. She shook her head, and I was forced to lift her off and place her next to it - not an easy task when she was snapping at me. She immediately hopped back on, prompting a sigh from me. "Look, if I tell you about it, will you let me watch it?"

She tilted her head, as if thinking over the option, then nodded and sat down, still on the laptop.

"Okay, and that one's called Sceptile. That evolves from this one here, who evolves from Treecko, see?" I said, pointing at the anime, which was now paused, then at the Bulbapedia pages. She nodded in response. "See, he caught it in Hoenn, while it was still a Treecko. Treecko's evolutions are known for their ability to use Leaf Blade, because, when they were introduced, Grovyle and Sceptile were the only ones who could learn that move - it was their Signature Move."

She nodded again, then tapped the screen near the Pokémon's mouth, apparently wondering about the twig.

"Oh, that? Honestly..? I'm not sure. I think Bulbapedia said that it was a common characteristic for a fairly popular kind of character in older manga and anime or something." I clicked on the link listed on Grovyle's page, then scrolled down to the trivia section, allowing her to read it. Once she had finished, she nodded and hopped off, apparently satisfied. I took that as my cue to continue watching the show. A minute or two later, the Rune hopped back, now holding a twig in her mouth, the same way the Pokémon on the screen at the time was. "Really?" She nodded again, hopping up to my shoulder and turning to watch the show with me. I shook my head, laughing. "Well, I guess I know what we're dressing up as for Halloween, then!"
