Silver looked ruefully at it, wishing she could tear it off. She was just lucky she didn't get one on her ear. She had seen some wolves with those, they were a bright green. "Humans," she whispered with shame, her voice full of distaste and hate. She hadn't told anyone about it yet, so she didn't know how she would put it. "I got it when I came here, to the snow," she began.

Syro quickly went to her and pushed his muzzle into her shoulder to comfort her "It's okay" he murmured

Silver nodded, but she had started, and she knew that she had to finish. "I lived far away from here, in a forest, it was really warm," she murmured, her eyes distant. She could see the thin trees, sunlight peaking through. The warmth on her shoulders, the river. And, her pack. She closed her eyes, trying hard not to shudder. "I lived with my family, in a small pack. I-I haven't seen them since I was taken,"

Syro frowned "Why were you taken?" he tilted his head

"I'm not sure, but I was taken to one of their dens. They fed me weird stuff, and gave me the tag. Then they put me here," Silver said, looking into the distance as she remembered her life before the cold. She blinked, looking away, then looking at Syro. "But I'm glad now. I have family here now, and I don't need to go back,"

Syro blushed lightly and licked her muzzle "I'll protect you" he smiled

Silver beamed, trying not to blush for the umpteenth time. She bit back her probable reply and simply responded, "Thanks,"

Syro smiled "Anything for you"

This time, Silver couldn't help but blush. "Syro, stop it," she giggled. She sounded girly, a little too girly for her usual 'tude.

Syro grinned "I can't help it, you make me so happy"
