i'm the first born child you spent your last moments holding in your arms. i really miss you, you know. i barely even knew you, but i miss you. i was born july 12, and you died july 13. it hurts to know that. i haven't been doing too well... we keep your picture up in the living room... that's my favourite picture in the world.

i love you. when i was 7, i wrote a letter for you. it was quite literate for a 7 year old, wasn't it? my handwriting wasn't the neatest, but it came right from my heart. mom thought it was the cutest thing in the world. we still carry on in life, and i know crying won't bring you back. so i try to be strong. for you.

please don't ever stop watching over me in the clouds. you're the only protection i have, you're the only one by my side. you always turn off the lights when it's time to go to bed, you turn off the TV when you think i've had enough.

you never got to see me grow up. i never got to even cherish the moments i had with you, because i was only a baby. i don't remember a thing. my sister, older sister, got to ride in the tractor with you, feed horses with you... i didn't get to do any of that.
