Foxpelt sighed as he watched her quickly dash out f camp, though he kept his paw steady and chewed the poppy seeds, sighing in content. He shivered slightly, and climbed into a spare nest the den always had and laid down, keeping a careful watch on his injured leg.

I lick all four of my kits clean, each one so tiny and helpless, mewling for milk. But then i realised, i was dry. I hadn't eaten or drank much at all in days! I couldn't just leave the hollow, and especially not try to transport four newborn kits down a tree...what if i slipped?

I jump slightly as I hear a voice call up the base of the tree I was in. It wasn't the she-cat or the tom she had ran into just moment earlier, it was a new she-cat. I wondered if I should reply, but decided to see how many cats were there first. I peer out of the hollow and see only one. slightly relieved I quietly call back down "yes?"
