I laid there silently, wrapped in my comforter. I heard the front door open and close and I wondered where Annetka was going. I was tempted to go after her as I now sat up and glanced out my window. Come back, please, come back... I was thinking, I didn't want her to leave. Now I felt even more alone than ever... What if those stupid mutts were out? She'd be dead.

"I was about to make breakfast..." I replied, rubbing the back of my neck.

I watched Azzy get up and simply rub against one of Collin's long legs.

"Pfft." I snorted, "My nose is just as good as my hearing." I said, looking prideful. I waited for her reply as I teasingly puffed out my chest.

Collin chuckled, nuzzling her lovingly. "I can't wait to show you off."

Christie smiled, climbed up onto the counter, and sat there swinging her legs. "Don't mind me, I'll be sitting here watching."

She clenched her jaws together in order to attempt to hold back a soft laugh, but moments later released one. Her tail flicked playfully as she watched Darius puff out his chest. "You're right, which makes them both pretty bad," She said softly and stepped up towards him, brushing her snow-white tail across his front. Immortal's ears swiveled forwards and perked as her paws took her a few feet away from him. "You're not that big of a tough guy, you know." A smirk teased at her muzzle.


A n n e t k a

As her legs carried her in between the trees and into the forest, her fingers fiddled aimlessly with her dark hair. She tugged it over her shoulder to play with it and kept her gaze focussed down towards the ground. There was a lot she had to think about and a lot of decisions she would have to make. Annie didn't care where she was going just as long as she would get back to the mansion with a cleared or made-up mind. She couldn't handle these random emotions anymore without knowing why they were there or what to do about them.

I laid back down, but I tried to stay awake. I was too exhuasted so I did fall asleep a few minutes later, but I hadn't been able to grip the peaceful sleep I had wanted.

I turned around awkwardly, really having the urge to just go out and hunt for something fresh.. I wasn't really interested in human food now.

I sighed,"I know it's late, but I really just need to go for a walk." I said, I was going to say that Christie could watch Azzy for us but I didn't know how he'd feel about that. I just needed to get outside and run around, I felt so cooped up in the bedroom.

"Yeah, not really." I said, standing up before I pranced past her. I realized it was night time as I stopped to look up at the stars. I had been out with Immy all day, but I was sure the others probably didn't even realize I was gone. I should go home, but I can't leave Immortal by herself...

Christie watched him curiously. "You okay?" She asked softly.

Collin nodded slowly. "Do you want me to go with you or do you want me to stay home with Azzy?"

Immortal smiled softly, lifting her head a bit as Darius pranced past her. She quietly walked after him until he stopped and she took a moment to look around. It was so peaceful here, so quiet and the stars and moon lit up the ground. She slowly laid down bear to him, resting her head gently upon her paws. Immy hadn't had this company in a long time. She hadn't even felt so comforted by someone before.


A n n e t k a

Annetka wanted to go out on her own, she wanted to be independent and be able to handle herself. All that she could think about was how Griffin wanted to always have her back when she went somewhere - did he just want to be around her or did he think she couldn't handle it? Annie shrugged away the thoughts and headed out of vampire territory and into the hunting grounds, which was practically no one's. She didn't really want to hunt, but maybe she could just watch the deer.

I drifted in and out of my sleep. After a while, I just sat up on my bed and stared blankly around my dark room. I carefully felt the deep scratches on my cheek and I winced a bit, huffing.

"Just tired..." I shrugged, turning around to look back at her.

"Come with me." I said, getting up.

I sat down again, laying my ears back as I glanced at Immortal curiously.

Immortal perked her ears up and watched Darius for a moment, before laying down gently against the ground. Her tail softly thumped behind her, although something seemed off. She breathed out, looked around then back at him. It was nothing, most likely. "What now?" She said with a soft, excited tone.


A n n e t k a

Annetka pushed past a few of the branches and trees, exhaling slowly. She sighed softly and looked ahead through the lines of trees. She could tell that the deer were near, not just by their trail, and so she figured she would head towards them. But, there was something else she smelled and it wasn't deer. Did she even care right now? Her mind was too lost in a train of thought and emotions.

I was about to reply when I inhaled silently, trying to figure out what the faint trace of what I smelled was. I got up, looking distracted as I sniffed.

Her ears shot up immediately when she sensed that Darius was a bit distracted and, quite frankly, a bit off. Immortal stood up and slightly stepped forward, asking softly, "Darius? What's wro-" But, before she could finish her sentence, the unfamiliar scent hit her like a brick wall. A rank, brick wall. It had been quite some time since she smelled something so odd and so she glanced back at him, "What is that?"


A n n e t k a

Annetka breached through the trees and found herself right at the edge of the meadow, her amber eyes focussing forwards as her head tilted. There, not even fifty yards away, was the last few stragglers of the herd of deer. The herd itself was about fifty more yards ahead, but still clear and visible. Annie exhaled softly and gently plopped down into the grass, causing the deer to quickly lift their heads but not run.
