Everyone has such sad stories! Maybe my good one will lighten the mood a little?

One day, a homeless woman asked for a ride. It was a very, very long way, almost two hours driving! She said that in return, she'd give me the gas money. When we got there, she claimed she had no money at all. She had nothing to give this complete stranger that she tricked into giving her a ride. Then she bargained her dog, or her necklace in exchange. I took pity on the under nourished dog, who slept the whole time, and said I'd keep her, instead.

Fast forward to a month or so later, and I find that the woman stole not only her necklace, but the dog! I was able to contact the owner and return her to them. She was much healthier, and their young soon was very very happy to have his best buddy back. He cried in my living room.

Here is a nice story!

We went on holiday and saww this homeless guy with a super skinny dog. He told us that the people were reporting his dog to the authorities just because he was a rottweiler. So he asked us to take his dog home and he would spend his time alone! We asked him if he wanted him to come with us back to britain and he told us he would love to but he didn't have any money. So we bought him a ticket and took him to britain where we took him to a retirement home and they let him keep his dog there. Now he is a normal pensioner who now has many friends! But unfortunatly his dog passed away! He was really sad but felt very happy when he woke up to a cute rottweiler that looked just like his old dog. We told him that we had tracked down the breeder and found that they had moved to britain! He now lives as part of the family and is really happy! I hope you like the story!

Wow, some of these stories are so beautiful and touching<3 I think it's truly amazing how one can come to love and become so attached to a pet, because I certainly am very attached to my rabbit Snuggles. Here's a picture of him:-

    Image

Mr. Snuggles here has taught me that wishes and dreams really do come true ♥ Goodness knows how much coaxing, convincing, whining and begging it took me for my parents to finally agree to purchase me a rabbit. I've only ever had four pets in my life- a hamster called Tinkerbell which I owned when I was three, two fish, Angelina and Goldie, which I owned when I was five/six and now, Snuggles. But really, Snuggles is the first pet I've ever took responsibility of. I was too young to understand the concept of pet owning with my first three. Unfortunately, they have now passed away and although it was a long time ago, I still miss them and wonder where they are now. But now, I have my Snuggles. And oh boy, does that rabbit love me. He follows me everywhere, is always so patient and gentle with me and always tries to refrain himself from biting me when I do something wrong. He's just so gentle and placid, but he sure can use those teeth if he wants to xD He's like my little shadow. He tolerates others stroking him, but he only really enjoys me lavishing him with attention. He lets me pick him up, which he hates, and he just loves to snuggle on my lap and be stroked, like a cat or lapdog. My little boy was the last rabbit left in the pet shop, and apparently no-one wanted him because it looked as if he had an illness. But I wanted him. I knew it from the first moment I laid eyes on him that he was my rabbit, and I wasn't going to let him go to someone else. Not even the promise of a tiny, adorable baby rabbit, if I waited a few weeks, could bring me away from him. He pawed on the cage to me, begging for my attention. He loved me before he even knew me. And so I took him home, and I have become so attached to him that I don't know what I would do without him. Now he's a big boy, two years old, and those two years have been the best ever with him. He really, really is a dream come true ♥

Hello everyone, and I thought I might tell some stories on what I learned about my pet, well for starters I will post the story of my dog. She is currently 7 or 8 months, but here is a picture the day we got her when she was about I would say 2 or 3 months old Image

Her name is Lily, and she is a goldendoodle, and this isnt going to be a sad story:) Lily is my first dog ever, and trust me i have been asking for one for a very long time! She taught me to pick up my things or she will try and eat them  Ha trust me, I have learned this many times from her and I have only had her for like half a year. Haha well I might add more in the future but that was Lily months ago here is what she looks like now:

I love her so much, and am very thankful for to my parents for finally get me a pup:)

“I don’t know how long
it takes for me to realize that isn’t going to happen,
that she is gone. But when I do I feel all the strength
go out of me, and I fall to my knees beside the table
and I think I cry, then, or at least I want to, and everything
inside me screams for just one more kiss, one more word,
one more glance, one more.” -Tobias

The story of Cassie made me tearful! I had a similar story with my guinea pig, but not the same.

I had a guinea pig called Kacper, but he got put to sleep not long after we got him. Then, right away, we got Lilek, another beautiful, golden guinea pig. He fitted in right away, licking and cuddling upto me, lying on my mums laps, and clambering over my dad. He was like a brother to me, although it might sound weird. Sometimes we even went for walks in the park. He was really fat and big, but we loved him really much. If you'd put a part of your body (Fingers, but if you put your face near, your nose) he'd lick them right away. But, after 5 and a half years, he fell ill. He stopped eating and drinking, and he'd usually spend a week in one place. He got ever so thin! So, after persuading my dad a bit, we went to a vet. My mum wouldn't get in, so me and my dad went. The vet diagnosed Lilek with a stone or cancer in his bladder. He was too old for surgery, so we got drops for him. They worked, and he was back, but then he got worse again. He tried to carry on, attempting to jump around his cage, but it just wouldn't work out. Finally, when I was asleep, he couldn't pick up his head, and my dad went to the vet with him, to put Lilek to sleep. I didn't even get to say goodbye to him.

So treasure the moments yoir pets, friends, and family are with you, as that won't last forever.

Aww,I'm so sorry about that. It's tough :( But I loved your story- and Lilek sounded like a great pet.
What a view, huh?

I know I have a story on the last page, but one of my pets died recently.

His name was Frisky, a small white gerbil. We called him and his cage-mate, Cuddles, a gray and white gerbil with red eyes, "The Freaks." Frisky was "Freak," while Cuddles was the "Red-Eyed Freak." My step-brother and I chose them about four years ago, when he was twelve and I was ten. I loved my gerbil, but understood he wasn't like a cat or dog. You couldn't hug them and expect them to be alright with it. They were delicate creatures, and you had to take care of them.

We took good care of them, until Cuddles died three years after we got them. Not just a normal death either; Frisky had killed him. He had a slit through his throat, and my step-brother said he found Frisky over him, preparing to eat him. I knew this was normal behavior, but my step-brother didn't seem to mind it.

After that, Frisky was named "The Cannibal." I constantly called him "my favorite cannibal" as well as "Freak" and so forth.

My mom was convinced he had gained an extra life like in the video games when he died at four years of age. After that, I felt a little sad. Not much, but it did distract sometimes. One day, I was going upstairs with my dog and saw his cage was missing. They had cleaned up the area and taken the cage outside while I was at school. I felt a little upset, and sighed sadly.
My dog, Savannah, a hyper and energetic "Blue" Beagle who loves people, suddenly calmed down. When I leaned down to stroke her, she looked up at me with her hazel eyes. I didn't understand what she was trying to tell me at the time. I continued into my room and lazily played on my laptop and DS.
Instead of bouncing around and persuading me to play with her, she curled up on my bed with a huge sigh. Not long after, I shut my stuff and just lay there. She lifted her head quickly, then scooted closer to me, placing her head on my right leg. She gazed at me, then closed her eyes to sleep. I began to stroke her, smiling.

Savannah taught me that these things do happen. Life does go on, and there isn't anything we can do about. We just have to trudge through. She and my cat, Chucky, have both taught me this lesson now. I'm wondering if all of my pets will teach this to me. (Frisky didn't teach me anything, except not to mess with him much. His bites actually hurt! xD)
