Name:
Charlotte Heathersfield
Age:
Eighteen {18}
Alliance:
Kin
Personality:
Charlotte is a real talker. She loves to be as social as she can be, and dislikes being alone. She's all bark, some bite.

Charlotte is a very demanding being. Not in a rude way, but more in a whiny way. She could be considered a baby when it comes to not getting what she wants, but she also knows when not to say something out of hand. Part of the time, she ignores her conscious telling her to stop, and continues anyways. The way she demands isn't like a Queen. It's more like a curious cat, who will paw at the unknown object till it figures out what the object is.

Even though she's like a curious cat, she has a large mouth. She loves to say things that are on her mind, and loves to insert her opinion wherever. She does know her superiors and tries to keep her mouth in their presence. She tries to always have an answer to answer if a question is asked, and tries to make sure it isn't stupid.

She hates to humiliate and be humiliated. As smart as she wants to be, she never tries to downgrade others. She can be very shy at first, and she will apologize immensely. When she begins to warm up to people, she makes sure to let her presence be known and try to keep it from being forgotten. She calls it tough love.

Appearance:
Charlotte is a petite, pink haired, acrobatic built girl.

She has pink hair, like said above It's naturally pink.

No, you do not have to have a mutant, but the other spots are limited, so if you want a specific one I could reserve one for you. ^.^

Name:
She was given the name Rise, after her parents couldn't think of a name for her condition. Instead, by the way it spreaded up her arm in a rising sort of way, they named her rise. She sometimes though asks to be called Web by her own personal name she gave herself.
Age: 17
Appearance:Rise is somewhat different than others as she thinks. Her body is normal, normal eyes, normal body, but one thing is different that even earned her name when she was born. From the moment she was born she always had, a bit higher than her wrist, was a black skin with red dots against her right arm. At times in her anger it rises up to cover in length of her entire face, or entire body which then gives her another strange thing that happens which will be explained. When her anger goes down, or any high emotion, it will shrink back to the size it has been for over a year now. Now, onto what it looks like. Whenever the condition spreads to will change her into a what a bat might be standing on two legs. Long fingers with almost all bones there, webbed under arms, large teeth, eyes red as blood, three-toed feet with black claws. Slightly furred, ears included to, with a pushed up nose. Now that her detail was explained without her condition active she has black chopped hair that runs to the length of her shoulders, and is soft and silk like as well. She usual wears a bat hat that has large eyes, two ears, and two chibi teeth with the design. Wears blue jeans with a bat belt, and steel toed boots. She also sometimes, to hide her condition, she wears a black glove on her right hand to hide the sick black and red color on her skin.
Image
Personality:
Rise is a very different person. She can be as quiet as a mouse at times where her voice seems dead, or that she doesn't even own one when she never speaks. She is a very watchful person as well, where an almost iced up wall covers her emotions like a cage to where nothing can ever break though it. The main reason is due to her virus that spreads though a very hard emotion like extreme sadness or pain will trigger her virus. So, in tune, she has taught herself, mostly by past, to not feel mostly anything the outside world might have to offer. She laughs fake, smiles fake when she has too, and does not let much slip past her wall of true real emotions that do cry to be let out.
Yet, if you ever do seem to break though the iced wall of cold, hard, unemotional, she is a true down sweet girl. Her words are soft and she really does seem to care truthfully about you if you happen to break her or show her real emotions. She can be protective, and watchful, but is a bit shy when it comes to romance and meeting others that is outside her shell. Yet, it might need some courage on her part. Though, this is only rare to see from Rise. She has forgotten most emotions that deals with love, or the sweet part of her that once was herself which is now lost. So when you meet Rise she is cold, hard, unemotional, and need someone to give her real emotions to show her how to feel again.
History:Life for Rise started as any girl's should be. With loving parents, a beautiful skin color, her body normal as anyone could be. Her parents where poor, lowest class on the governments eyes so it was hard for them to get food for her when she was born. Yet, they managed a meal ever so often to keep her alive. Though, at the age of only four, her virus from an unknown source began to creep up onto her flawless skin. It was red and black that swirled against her fingertips, and even made them the color of black and long like claws. Her parents got worried then for them owning a kid like herself. She had this virus, but they had no idea if it was the aging of a mutant gene or just some horrid virus that took over her body? They waited till she was six, when it started to become noticed as it crawled up her arm like a spider. It swirled, spotted, and even changed her eye color to the point where she looked more like a mutant the passing days. Then, the one day it happened was the day she was then an outcast. More to come later~
Rank:Loner~
Other:Nope.

Name: Jem. Usually called the Blob.

Age: 20.

Appearance: Most people, when first seeing Jem are not sure that he's sentient. Some unusually condensed blob of sewer muck? Some sort of giant ball of snot? It's not entirely clear. Jem is, today, about the size of a small car. He is a mobile blob of goo of various consistencies and colors, tending towards taupe, with mauve, puce and gray splotches depending on what he's been consuming. He can move himself along at quite a fast rate of speed, about equal to a running human, and create appendages, tentacles and other useful segments of himself for manipulating objects. He can even, with a bit of concentration, make a humanoid hand (okay, a tentacle with five digits and a palm), for shaking hands. But what, you may be wondering, does his stuff feel like? You might picture some sort of nasty slime coming off on your hand which you have to wipe on your pants. Unpleasant? No, actually. Touch is the only sensation where Jem is not repulsive. He can change the temperature of his goo from feverish to chilly at will, and he does not allow any of it to rub off on anyone else (having bits of himself separate from his main blob is akin with pain to him. However, unlike us, if you lop off his tentacle arm, he can pick it up and reattach it to himself, no worse for the wear.) However, Jem has complete control over other aspects of his goo, including PH. An enemy, trying to grab him, would find himself burned with a strong acid. His other defense (not that he really needs any, he's almost indestructible) is his smell. His natural stench is awful, like a gym-socks, moldy cheese and fresh super-glue quiche, with a side order of sewer dipping sauce. He can, through a conscious effort of will which gets harder and harder as he controls it, internalize the smell for an hour or so at the max. To continue, Jem can speak. He has vocal cords, somewhere in his mass of goo, which do work. He has a fairly pleasant voice, actually, for a huge blob of goo. It's a sort of rich tenor, and he has an excellent singing voice, which would outshine many in the opera or those of teen pop-stars. Finally, it might be worth noting that Jem is only male through convenience. His brain is male, his genes are... sorta male, and he thinks he's male, so that's that.

Personality: Jem is one of the few mutants who somehow grew up... normal. Bizarrely normal, yes, but normal. He has made it his mission in life to know as much about how normal people live as possible, and despite never ever ever being able to pass for human, you wouldn't blink an eye if you met him in a chatroom online. He's kind, and tends to protect those he can, having raised two abandoned babies into capable teens. They've since left this section of the country, in search of somewhere they might be able to find a proper home. He is a hopeless romantic, eternal optimist (perhaps even something bordering on a mental problem), and can always look on the bright side of anything. He's not interested in power, and hates fighting those he cares about (and he cares about almost everyone, even many who hate him). Reapers are not included in this category, and he has killed several who came after his 'children'. He not in competition for resources, as he can consume almost anything. He is nearly invulnerable to everything but strong chemicals and flamethrowers and this has affected his attitude towards others, leaving him nearly fearless of physical threats. He sings beautifully, attends concerts through the plumbing, recites poetry, tells really bad puns, and is obsessed with expanding his already voluminous vocabulary.

History: When Jem was born, his parents thought he was a miscarriage and tossed him into the sewers without a second thought, or so Jem presumes. Luckily, his blob form that was his literal downfall was also an advantage, as he could survive the harsh conditions of the sewer by metabolizing anything organic. He grew up, barely alive, not exactly conscious in the sewer system, exploring drains like the rats, unnoticed by everyone. Then, one day, he woke up. He's not sure how it happened. Perhaps he got such a size that he had enough information to wake up his human brain? However it occurred, he realized that there were creatures called humans. He'd wriggle up through their plumbing and listen to them, fascinated, like a cave-man watching angels dance. He learned from the vantage point of a kitchen sink as a mother taught her kids to speak, read, write and think. He watched TV, read books by creeping into public libraries at night, and became, well, a human being. He associated with the other creatures in the sewers, and then, one day, he was caught by a very, very eccentric student learning gene-science. She was fascinated by him, and when he spoke to her, offered him a deal. If he'd give her a sample of his slime to analyze, she'd teach him to sing. He agreed, and she analyzed his slime, sharing her results. After analysis, she was able to present him with a picture of himself, as he'd have been without his extensive mutations. He was a pleasant faced young man with brown hair, blue eyes, and rather pale skin who the student named Jem. It amazed him, to see himself for the first time. (She moved from this city to work for the government in a cleaner, nicer place several years ago, but not before (metaphorically) stealing his heart. As you might guess, this is a completely star-crossed and unreciprocated love.)

Rank: Mostly outside the ranking. If anyone asked, he'd say he was a scraper, but you and I know that's not exactly the truth.

Other: Ah... It should be noted, perhaps, that Jem is not biologically possible. I know that, it's just... zomg giant blob!! Also, he does have a human brain somewhere deep inside his slime which limits the diameter he can squeeze down to. It's also the only part of him which is actually vulnerable to spiky objects. If you'd like to have Jem feature in your character's history, just message me. If you'd like to have me tone down the descriptions of his appearance because he's too gross, again, message me. I don't mind.

Name: Suey

Age: 6.5. Never six. Six an' a half.

Appearance: Suey is not technically a mutant. She's cute, adorable, and very sweet. Her hair is auburn, curly, and very unruly, and she hates to have it combed. She's three foot eight and weighs fifty pounds including her clothes and her eternally present plush cat. She is generally quite cheerful - it's rare to see a frown last on her face for more than a fleeting, ephemeral moment - and when she cries it'd break almost anyone's heart. (Jem, not possessing a heart, doesn't have this problem and has no difficulty staying firm and serious when she pouts at him. Just kidding. She can wrap him around her little finger both literally and figuratively.) She wears big rubber boots with white ducks on them, which Jem stole from the mud-room of a surface home, jeans, t-shirts (generally lilac or pale blue) and a variety of fluffy sweaters. Usually her hair is tied back in a ponytail or pigtails, and despite Jem's best efforts, she's usually muddy or messy.

Personality: Suey is spoiled, and yet, she seems like she deserves to be spoiled. She's optimistic to a fault, loving, and almost always lives in the present. When she does think about the future, her general thoughts about can be summed up as 'It'll all be okay, right?'. Maintaining this mindset in a toxic sewer system filled with snarling mutants is an accomplishment in itself. She's very headstrong/stubborn, and will mess with Jem and Sara to get to stay up past her bedtime. She doesn't seem bothered by the peculiar appearance of the mutants in the sewers and acts equally friendly with spider-mutants and fuzzy-kitty-mutants. She calls herself the Princess of the Mutants, and doesn't much like the surface, on those rare occasions where Jem insists she goes up there. She's quite clever but unfocused and unmotivated, and is being taught to read and write by Jem. She's terrified of the Reapers, and misses her brother despite having only fuzzy memories of him.

History: No one knows much of it. Jem found her wandering the sewers, and adopted her after she refused to return to the surface. He's tried to get her adopted by Kin families, but she throws a tantrum every time he suggests it. She insists that she's a mutant. What is known about her past came from her own story: "Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess. Her brother, a handsome prince with an awesome spiky hat and fur, rescued her from the world above and brought her to this wonderful place where she could play in the mud as much as she wanted. He was noble and kind and awesome and brave, and gave her cookies even when he didn't have anything to eat himself. They travelled through the land, fighting and running for the evil Reaper-knights of the World Above, but one day they were on a train and it was... confusing. The beautiful princess didn't see her brother again and she was left all alone in the dark. She got off the train, and was hungry, but she didn't want to go above ground because that's where the evil Reaper-knights were. So she went into the sewers, and it was like Snow-white in the woods, but she was okay because instead of seven dwarfs, she ran into Jem (which was scary), but he was nice and took good care of her. Then she met a bunch of mutants, including a little fishy-kid named Peter and a bird-lady named Sara, who was really nice. And she's been here ever since and had three birthdays since she got here, which were great because it meant she could have cake."

Rank: Scraper, technically. Suey is too young to really understand hierarchies. That's something that adults have. Everyone up there is boss, and she's Suey, Princess of the Mutants. Jem has discouraged her from calling herself that in front of the more volatile mutants, but...

Other: Suey has a brother, a mutant who kidnapped her from her family, but they were separated. She is not a mutant, and if she was found down here, she'd be captured by the Reavers and brought in alive to be adopted by someone on the surface, which she is firmly opposed to. Who her brother is, and whether he'll find her again... that's a secret. You can probably guess that it's Kaleb. (Rose's mutant) ^.^

    Name: Red [rough sketch]

    Age: 18

Appearance: Red is tall and slender, with a noticeable lack of curves for a young woman. She is also completely bald. If it wasn't for her soft, feminine facial features, she could easily be confused for a boy after a quick glance . However, anyone who cared to take a longer look at her would notice how graceful the whole structure of her body is, with the subtle arches of her collarbone and her delicate, elf-like arms. Her most humanizing feature is her deep brown eyes, which are kind and heart-breakingly hopeful.
Red's skin is milky pale with a slightly glossy sheen. In areas where it is more thin and stretched out, it appears eerily translucent. Her veins are easily noticeable; or at least they would be if something else didn't steal the show, so to speak. Her head, neck, upper back and spine, shoulders, hands, and ankles are covered with rough, lizard-like patches of skin. In areas of high concentration there are full blown scales, each a rich blood red. Her lizard skin is also tinted red, though the pigmentation is much less drastic. It's not hard to see where her name originated from.
Along the back of her neck are draped two large frills of membrane, which are usually folded back and not particularly noticeable. However, when she is angry or feeling threatened they expand outwards and flush a bright crimson, creating a devilish halo that frames her face. This is not something she can control. It is a sort of defense mechanism that reacts only to the most primal of instincts and emotions.
Between these two membranes are a series of soft, feather-like spikes that start from the base of her neck and continue in a single row until they reach her forehead. This gives the illusion that she has a sort of mohawk instead of having a completely smooth cranium. Finally, Red's hands are clawed and subtly webbed between each finger. Her feet are reminiscent of a bird's, though she is not exactly digitigrade. There is a hint of a tail is situated at the base of her spine.

Personality: While the colour red is often associated with anger and unbridled passion, Red herself is the exact opposite. She is quiet and hates conflict to the point that extremely aggravated situations can make her physically ill or distressed. Because of this, she tries to avoid joining large groups in which this type of conflict often forms. However, this is not to her advantage as she often has trouble providing for herself.
Red may seem helpless and frail to some, but she is incredibly strong mentally. This is not showcased with higher than average intelligence, but with the way she copes with hard situations. Where others might crumble under pressure or unhealthy scenarios, Red manages to stray strong and keep her mental health relatively intact. It is easier for her to keep a level head and analyze a situation, even when she is extremely uncomfortable with what is going on. She has a calm resilience and is a lot tougher than she appears.
Still, just because Red is more reserved doesn't mean that she is boring. Once she is more comfortable with someone, she has no problems with jokes and light teasing. However, she doesn't often try to form any type of relationship because she's not comfortable with the intimacy that comes with them.

History: She was going to be named Isabella. Her parents had spent a long time trying for a child, and when her mother finally began to show signs pregnancy, they where both ecstatic. The little money they had went towards preparing for the baby, her mother convinced to give her new child the best home possible even in this cruel world. However, when their much anticipated baby finally came into the world, it was all her mother could do not to scream. Instead of the beautiful baby girl she had always wanted, she had given birth to a creature that was nothing short of a monster. It had human features, sure, but it was also scaly and red and spiky. And awful.
Crushed, Red's mother went into a depression. She didn't even bother naming the baby, convinced that it wasn't human. Red only survived due to her father's insistence, which at least let her keep breastfeeding until she no longer needed her mother to depend on.
Her childhood itself was unstable. Officially she was named Isabella, as had been decided on before her birth, but this attempt at treating her like a "normal child" was halfhearted at best. She was kept alive and a part of the family due to her father's pity and sense of responsibility. Perhaps he also loved her, but she would never have known. She wasn't interacted with much, and spent her days withdrawn and day dreaming. Her first words came incredibly late and her social skills were definitely impacted by her less than perfect upbringing. Her mother's depression got worse, putting the well being of the family all on her father's shoulders.
As she grew into a young teen, Red's relationship with her father grew slightly better. It was still incredibly shaky, but it was a start. However, this also came around the time when her mother started to recover. Her old feelings about Red had not dulled; if anything, her long period of depression had made them worse. Her mother would usually pretend that her daughter didn't exist, but sometimes she would whisper demeaning words under her breath, perhaps to remind Red every so often that she was not wanted.
When Red was 15, her life was turned upside down. Her parents were in a desperate phase money-wise, and seeing no other options, they sold their only daughter. It didn't matter though; she was hardly human, after all. Red was handed off to a despicable "black market" group, who specialized in an underground business who kept and showcased mutants like animals for the perverted pleasure of their customers. This was the place where Red inherited the name she now uses. Sometimes, the "prettier ones" such as Red where made to dance or follow the client's orders. The illegal business had a strict "no touch" policy, but the mental abuse and degradation Red and the others had to go through was enough to completely screw someone up. Some mutants left with clients (presumably who paid large sums of money) and never came back. All of the clients wore masks and it was impossible to distinguish their features, but Red was convinced that the majority of them were government workers. Who else had the money? Or a mind twisted enough to enjoy the "business", for that matter.
Red was finally able to make it out at 17, when stricter government rules made the black market business too hard to operate. While she was able to put most of what happened to her in the past, the damage those two years had inflicted on her will never disappear.

Rank: Red sticks to herself and is pretty much a scraper.

Other: Hopefully her history is alright, I sorta took some liberties with the universe of this roleplay when I invented the underground ring.
