"I'll be back in a bit." Bill smiled at Ember and left.

Ember watched him leave then limped off to the kitchen. He helped himself to the dog food, still feeling hungry...

Bill walked slowly, enjoying the nice day. I wonder if I should have someone look at the 'scratch' on Ember's leg...

Ember hadn't realized he'd eaten the whole bag till it was empty...he looked at himself...maybe Bill won't notice the size difference... He could only reach the ground with two paws now, he dragged himself back to his bed, hoping Bill wouldn't notice...he drifted off to sleep and waited for Bill to come home...

Bill came home a little while later. He saw Ember had gotten bigger and sighed. I've got to find a way to keep him out of the food... He threw away the empty bag of dog food.

Ember laid in his bed and pinned his ears back...how did he know?

Bill could see that Ember had gotten bigger and sighed. "I'm gone for under an hour..."
