She stopped at the gate of a white pickett fence, the paint peeling. The gate created as she opened it and the door suddenly slammed open, a small, lithe shape hurtling out of the darkness beyond. A wide smile stretched across the girl's face as she caught the small boy, who clung to her with tears in his eyes. "Julie why did you take so long? I thought the police got you!" He whimpered.
"Dry it up now, Benji. You know I'm too fast for them. I just... got a bit held up." She soothed gently. "Benji, I'd like you to meet a friend of mine. This is Jacen." She said, stepping aside.

Jacen waved, " hi," He smiled.

Bishop wagged his tail, and sat down.

Benji gave him a suspicious look. "Sure he's not a copper?" He checked.
Juliet laughed. "Positive. In fact, if not for Jacen I might not have gotten away today." She said, watching Benji's eyes widen.
Benji edged past her until he stood before Jacen, looking up at him with a seious expression that just made him look cuter. Finally, he stuck out his hand. "Welcome aboard, solider." He announced in acceptance, making Juliet grin.

Jace crouched down and shook his hand, " thank you." He gestured to his dog, " oh, this is my dog Bishop, my partner you could say."
Bishop lopsidedly smiled, in a cute friendly way.

[Snow Eevee]

"DOGGY!" Benji squealed, throwing his arms around Bishop. "Come on, Shiloh! Come on, Bishop! let's go play!" Benji tore off towards the house with Shiloh at his heels.
"He'll try and get you to stay now... just for the sake of having Bishop around." Juliet chuckled.

Jace snickered, " I'm glad he likes Bishop."

Bishop jumped up, and ran after Benji.

"He likes all animals. Come on in." Juliet said, heading towards the front door.

Jace followed her, " thanks."

"No problem. We don't invite many round here." She said with a shrug.
