(Yeah, Ash was my first thought on who would take Bane out. Wasn't sure if you wanted to do it though. All I know though, I defiantly wasn't Bane go go out by someone killing her rather than old age. More room for character development that way.)
She pulled back and circled around a clearing, keeping the breeze in her favor, gazing into the mass of turkey meat for imperfections. Did they know, she wondered, that she could hear their heartbeats? Did they know that she outpaced theirs by tenfold? Not for long though. Soon their hearts would threaten to burst with horror.
Rylen whipped around pin-pointing one of the large birds. The chase was on. The fox colored girl lunged forward off of the hill, swooping down into the clearing and racing towards her prize. Within moments of her leaving the hill, the birds became aware of their fate, and fled in every which direction, avoiding pointed teeth that snapped at outstretched wings and feathers, leering the younger ones away from her. They were too small, she was looking for a larger one that escaped her vision during the confusion. Swivelling around she found the nearest plump one.
Crack
She pinned her ears. Oh how she hated the noise, but it was, after all, survival of the fittest. The she-wolf lifted herself from a crouched stance, standing at her full height, with the turkey's legs just barely reaching the ground, and headed back towards home with a warm meal between her jaws.
Before reaching camp, Rylen caught the ghostly gray figure of her brother, Ash, near the stream. With a moments notice she changed direction and sat down beside her, nudging him with her nose to make her presence know if he had not already sniffed her and the smell of blood out. "Brother." A muffled voice cooed out to her brother.
