Silverrain woke later, her head still bleeding. She looked around, vision fuzzy. She couldn't tell which way was which. She hobbled into a big cave, seeking shelter. A loud growl came from the back of the cave, and she could barely make out the giant brown grizzly bear standing in front of her.

[~Silverrain~]

Silverrain howled for help before the bear pinned her down. It growled and dug its claws into her shoulders.

Silverrain laughed slightly. She leaned against him and groomed his shoulder and head softly. (WB)

"Um.. I uh... purple...." Red stammered. "Fine." he finally answered.

Frost sniffed. "The elder Africa is dying..." she whispered, lowering her head in sadness. "She's like a mother to me..."

Aurora smiled. "You don't talk much, do you?"

Banook sighed. "Everyone's time must end, Frost. But once they leave, they make room for another. And another, and another, and yet another. And who knows? Love can trip anyone," she looked to his side. The tears of Frost landed on his paws, but he didn't care. "I know its hard to loose Africa, but she is dying. You can't stop her. And if she keeps trying to live, she will only go through more pain. You don't want to see that. She is dying for us… For you,"

[~Silverrain~]

Frost looked up and licked Banook's cheek. "Thank you so much..." she murmured, her voice still cloaked in greif.

Red shook his head. "I-i'm not a talker..." he stammered blankly.

Ballad whined when he heard her, no matter what, he couldn't lose her. He turned from the border and ran towards her howl, snarling when he smelt the thick, musky scent of the bear. He lunged at the grizzly when he saw it hurting his mate, sinking his teeth into the bear's thick fur. He shook his head and tried to distract it from Silver, wanting to keep her safe.

[~Silverrain~]

"Ballad! No!" Silverrain called out, still dizzy. She jumped on the bear and went for its throat, making it roar with rage.

Ballad snarled and kicked out at her to try and get her away, he howled, "SCAR!" he called as he fought. He needed Silver safe as he went at the bear again, fighting hard.

[~Silverrain~]

Silverrain got kicked in the stomach. She whimpered in pain and hit the wall, passing out again.

Scar perked his ears. He raced to the howl. He took in the scene, snarled, and jumped on the bear, he clawed and bit at its throat for 5 minutes, getting clawed himself, till its head fell off and the body dropped dead.

Feather squealed. (Wb)

Silverrain pulled her paw away and slapped Vex's face.

Lia smiled. " I got ya' ! " Lia smiled like a pup.

Ballad limped to his mate, he whined and helped her back to the alpha den, he called for Frost. He hoped she would still help him, even though he didn't love her back.
