I actually hate giveaways...
Especially for really good pets.
I mean, yeah they're nice an all, and I want to apply for them... But they're esentially a place to make up sob stories just so you win the pet. And then they'll get mad at you if you trade it.
I only want to apply so I can have the pets to trade (which is really bad I know, I know) and I don't want to make up some fake story to win JUST so I can have that pet to trade...
I mean, really.
How many of the people who actually apply for giveaways end up keeping the pets?
How many of the people who actually apply for giveaways have a reason for wanting the pet other than they want to trade it?
Okay, this is just three pages back, but whatever. It needs to be said.
This is my rant. The whole thing. I entered a giveaway for te most perfect pet, which is my ultimate dreamie, and the rules said not to write too much. I asked the host, and they said 3 paragraphs with 4-5 sentences each is the perfect amount. So I do that. Then someone wins the pet who wrote a whole giant freakin sob story type thing and I'm left in the dust because this was my dream pet, I actually didn't want to trade it, and, this was the only giveaway ever, ever, and I've entered a lot of giveaways, that I actually expected to win. I'm so disappointed.
Actual rant: Yes, suggestions are cool, but not when you add a million and one items and say "what do you want for these? " when your items are locked, so pets are what I have to choose from, and you have 50+ pets on my wish list that could easily go for my items and some you have doubles and triples of. Not a good day for me. Overall.

So called give-aways are just one big fake.
Specially the ones where they say "Don´t write sob-stories! Small and truthful entries will win"
Writing small posts. Telling the truth.
Who wins? THe one with the flashing big signs, the rainbow colors, the huge pictures.
Nothing against them, seriously, they put effort into their post, yeah whatever ... But the people that make such giveaways.
If you say "Do not use flashy pics, animated Letters and so on" ... STAND BY THAT! <.<

We need a different place for competitions. You cannot find an adoption center in all those "are you my twin, competition, whatever" things
