Ember yawned and nodded his head, his stomach started growling. Dain smirked, things really never change...he gave Bill his first pay check. "Your next pay check is in two weeks."

Bill nodded. "Okay, thanks." He walked home with Ember, thinking hard.

The cat padded away. Yes, this changes everything...

Ember panted and struggled to keep up.

When they arrived at the house, Bill collapsed in a chair. "Well then..."

Friesia finished writing a couple notes and looked around. It's awfully quiet...

Ember flopped at his feet tiredly...

Bill sighed. His mind was full of a ton of new information, and yet the only clear thought he had was 'I've got a job.'

Friesia put her pen down and sighed. Maybe I should get out of the house or something...

Ember looked up at Bill as his stomach growled loudly....

Bill facepalmed. "I forgot to get dog food!"

Friesia put her books away and stretched, she'd been sitting there for a while.

Ember mentally faceplanted. He sighed and rested his head between his paws...

Bill got up. "Well, I'll be back... I gotta go get ya somethin' to eat." He waved Ember goodbye and walked out the door.

Friesia headed to the bakery, not knowing what else to do.
