Dain yawned, still half asleep.

Ember was getting bored. he pocked his head through again and sniffed around the front of the truck

"Tired Dain~?" Friesia asked teasingly. She smiled.

Bill chuckled. "Somethin' up here Flame?"

One of the cats in the back stayed in the corner, away from the other animals. If anything came near it, it hissed and scared them away, as if it thought it was superior to everyone.

"a bit..." Dain smiled.

Ember went back into the back of the truck and looked at the cat, he padded over to it slowly, showing he wasn't gonna hurt it. He spoke in a language all animals new, but to a human, it sounded like normal animal noises. "you alright?"

Friesia laughed a bit. "We went to sleep pretty early last night. How are you tired?!"

Bill figured Ember could handle things, so he left him to it.

The cat huffed. "Fine," he said. He was almost invisible, his coat was all black so he blended into the shadows.

"what's with you?" Ember sighed.

"You? Lazy?" Friesia grinned. "Don't turn into another Ember Dain..." Her smile faltered as she thought of Dain leaving like Ember had.

The cat shrugged. "Nothing, what's with you? You're trying to be friendly."

"I said lazy, not fat..." Dain shrugged.

Ember shrugged. "Yeah...so? nothing wrong with that."
