About Meerkats
A meerkat mob is a group of meerkats. These groups are also known as gangs, clans, teams or troops. A meerkat mob normally consists of a dominant couple and their offspring. The meerkats are very cooperative and work as a unit, every meerkat will do their part for the mob, even if they are unrelated.

Alpha Pair!
The mob will have a dominant pair. The dominant female will normally keep all of the breeding rights to herself. She is usually the leader of the group, and has more power than the dominant male. The dominant male spends his time scent-marking, keeping a look-out, defending the territory and protecting his mate from interested males. The dominant male is usually the largest or most powerful meerkat in the group, but will submit to the dominant female if neccessary for she has the ultimate power.

Subordinates:
Subordinates of the group are mainly responsible for the welfare of the pups; they teach younger members how to hunt and sometimes generously feed them. Subordinates also babysit and perform lookout duties. Females more commonly babysit as they're able to lactate (produce milk, even if they haven't had litters of their own before), whilst males generally spend more time on sentry duty then females. When males reach sexual maturity at the age of 1 they begin visiting other meerkat groups to try and breed with unrelated females. When they are 2 - 3 years old they often disperse permenately. Meanwhile, low-ranking females feel the urge to have pups of their own at the age of 1.

What do meerkats eat?
The Meerkat usually eats insects if they can be find them. They will forage by digging among leaves, dirt, dry grasses, bark, pebbles, and anything that small bugs can hide in. The Meerkats do forage in small groups with one lookout, and take turns pulling duty as the lookout changing about every hour or so. They will also eat lizards, snakes, spiders, eggs, small or baby mammals, scorpions, millipedes, centipedes, plants and roots. If it is available, and they will eat small birds too. The Meerkat appears to be immune to most venomous scorpion bites. Most Meerkats can eat things that can be poisonous to other animals.

Information on Mobs

Cloud mob is the smallest of the three mobs, most of the meekats are kind and friendly, they accept any meekats who want to join, this mob was made by Sky, she had many pups and was a great leader, she died not to long ago and at the moment the mob's alpha female is ______ and she is looking for an alpha male, Sky had many alpha male but longest she had was Scar, he was large and no one could have beaten him but one day, a hawk took him away.This mob has been around for 5 years.

Feather mob is the second largest mob, they are a mixed mob, some are aggressive, so are kind but the alpha female is a mixed of both, she is kind to her members but aggressive to outsiders and other mobs, the alpha female at the moment is Cookie, she is looking for an alpha male, this mob was made by Cookie's mother Ice, who died a while back. This mob has been around for 7 years.

Storm mob is the most aggressive of the three mobs, its the largest and most deadly of the three, many hate to go into battle with them, their alpha female is Kiki, she may sound sweet but she is a devil, she is a very good fighter and could kill for fun, she is looking for an alpha male, who is as deadly as she is, she made this mob only 2 years ago and it is already the largest, no one has taken her crown and no one will ever unless, you want to feel her bites. This mob has been around for 2 years.

History: Eloise was part of the Storm Mob, up until recently. But everything changed when she met a roving male a while back. She became pregnant with his pups, and of course, Kiki found out. She was driven from her Mob, and ended up going to the Cloud Mob, who accepted her. The gentler, quieter new Mob suited her anyway. Eloise was never suited to the violent nature of the Storm Mob.

History: Davie was born in Cloud Mob, after his mother left Storm Mob. Of course, she has never told him where she was from. She doesn't want him being curious about the violent Mob she came from, and perhaps even trying to go there. Davie remains blissfully unaware of his mother's past and loves playing and running around in Cloud Mob's territory.

History: Janice managed to become alpha after the fall of the old leader. She is rather timid and careful, but extremely loyal. If someone tries to attack her Mob, she immediately will fight tooth and claw to get them away. Janice has not yet managed to find a partner, though she is looking very hard. She desperately wants pups of her own.
