Ember snuggled down deep in his bed.

"Friesia?" Dain sat next to her.

Bill read the news, his face brightening a bit when he read the sports section.

Friesia looked at Dain for a bit before hugging him tightly. She didn't say anything, she just threw her arms around him, trembling slightly.

Ember slet happily, twitching his tail in his sleep.

Dain was suprised by the...hug...he didn't say anything and just hugged her back

Friesia stopped shaking after a little while. She let go hof Dain and looked up at him. "Thank you Dain," she said quietly.

Bill eventually went to bed himself, he had to go to work again tomorrow morning.

Ember woke up in the middle of the night and padded into the kitchen. He sniffed around where Bill kept the dog food and helped himself to a bag...

Dain kissed her softly.

Bill slept soundly, unaware of what Ember was doing.

A shadow of a smile flickered on the edge of Friesia's mouth before she kissed Dain back.

Dain smiled happily.

Ember had finnished the whole bag before he left the kiten and struggled back to his bed.

Friesia lay her head on Dain's shoulder. She was grateful for his help, he did more for her than he knew.

Dain smiled down at her calmly.

Friesia drifted off into a dreamless sleep, she was perfectly relaxed with Dain.
