The head is a little too small, and the pose seems stiff (though that could be due to canvas size limitations). But other than those little things, this is simply gorgeous!!

No, it's head is not too small, it's done from a younger, maybe 2 or 3 year old colt, not a fully mature stallion, and it's supposed to look what you call stiff because the immature stallion is standing very proud and upright. Lots of horses stand regally and tall upright like that, especially if they are at attention looking at something. The only reason he looks smallish and square is he's young, a bit leggy.
