Ember yipped happily. He liked it here, Bill was so nice to him!

"Hm..." Bill thought for a moment. "Well, what do you think about, I dunno, Skipper?" He shrugged, unable to think of anything else.

Friesia smiled a bit. She had found a locating spell that could help her find Ember! She focused as hard as she could, trying to find him...

Ember made a half grunt half sigh noise...Skipper? really?

"Yeah, I thought so too." Bill chuckled a bit. "Well, what would you like to be called?" He didn't know Ember could talk, but sometimes he acted as if he knew.

Friesia finally found him. She saw him sitting with a middle-aged man, who was talking to him about something. The image faded away as Friesia fought back tears. So he has found a new home...

Ember looked at the fire place and yipped.

"Oh... Flame?" Bill wasn't quite sure what Ember wanted.

She closed the book and sighed. Guess he's better off without us... She lay her head on the desk, upset with herself.

meh...Ember yipped and wagged his tail. it was close enough....

Bill nodded. "Okay, sure. Sounds good to me." He pet Ember, his large hands being surprisingly gentle.

Friesia closed her eyes and fell asleep, she hadn't gotten more than a couple hours worth the previous night, she was exhausted.

Though Ember was happy here, he couldn't help but miss Friesia...though she was probably better off without him...

Bill just relaxed, he only worked part-time at the pound.
