I like how the colouring is a nice gradient from a yellowish green to a blueish green.

I was thinking an ornament of some kind for the rat. xD The metal parts look more old/classic style than modern metalic

My thoughts exactly. I was so surprised by this rat, I never would have expected something like that. XD Now I get to wait another 45 minutes to see if I got it.

EDIT: No wait, I was wrong. I thought I adopted over an hour late, but now I am remembering that it was only 30 minutes. XD Yay, I got it!

I didn't expect something like this! Very nice. I can see how it could be a lava lamp, but I immediately thought it was based off a crystal pendant like this when I saw it:

I like it either way, though.

I can see them being either, or maybe neither I think the metallic looking ends look more like the crystal, but the purple body part looks more lava lamp. Hopefully the artist will give us some clarification!

My absolute favorite BW by far. :D I wonder if the next one is going to be a ruby wing.

It has been confirmed by the artist that they are not based off jewels, but pheasants. If there are pheasants with that patterning then I guess it's possible.

I don't doubt it now that I've looked it up! Check out Peacock-Pheasants and you'll definitely see the similarities ;)
And now I want a peacock-pheasant...
Either way, I love these butterfly wolves. All of these pets, really. This month has not disappointed me <3
