JadePaw laughed good naturally "It seems like the kits are okay, but their pride is broken." She bent over to lick a straying hair back down to smoothness. "I'm just a bit bored, I just finished cleaning out the med den. Now their nothing to do, besides collecting more marigold later on." She curled her Fluffy Tail around her paws, Jadepaw's jade eyes showed amusement. Kit's were cute and cuddly but at times they could be very naughty.

((Graaah! Sorry I've been gone for a week!))

Webface looked at the strap. "If only we could get it to stop thrashing," he yowled. The horse pulled on the strap again, and the branch it was stuck on started splintering. "It's going to hurt itself!" He pelted to the tree, stopping when one of the creature's big flat feet came down right in front o him. He weaved around, staying close to the ground, but keeping his tail high. He launched himself at the tree just as another of it's feet came down. He held onto the shaking trunk tightly, pressing himself against the bark.

Nightpelt led Patchpaw out of the camp, and to the training hollow. He stopped and stood silently when he heard a rustling in the undergrowth by a tree root. He stopped Patchpaw with a tap of his tail to the apprentice's shoulder. "What do you smell?" he asked quietly.

Patchpaw raised his nose to the air. "It smells like...oh, a mouse! A nice plump mouse!"

"Correct," Nightpelt purred. "Now, show me the best way to catch a mouse. Remember, keep your weight on your haunches and cut off it's escape." He crouched nearby, waiting and watching to see how well Patchpaw had learned his lessons.

Tigermoon

"Can you get it off Webface?" Tigermoon screeched over the sound the creature was making. She didn't know it she could get past the same way Webface did, or if she could even help once she got there. She didn't want anyone else to risk themselves with the creature's feet if it was no use. She glanced at Silverwind, and saw that the other she-cat had a bit of fear in her eyes, there was no risk of running off there.

Greymist

"They're good kits. You wouldn't want to know all the stories of kits leaving camp and getting into big messes the older queens told me while I was pregnant." Greymist said, treating the memories fondly. She loved her kits, and she hated it whenever they did something bad, since she had to scold them, or punish them if it was too bad.

Webface looked up at the splintered part of the wood. "I ~ I don't know!" he yowled back. The creature stopped pulling for a second, sending up another horrible wail. He leaped up, and tried to find a clawhold in the bark. He slipped a bit when the creature pulled again. "Stop it, you mouse-brain!" he yowled, half in frustration, half in fear. The creature stomped it's feet in response, and continued pulling.
Balancing his weight on his haunches, he leaped again. He caught the edge of the splintered branch, and scrambled to get his back legs up before they were crushed. He slipped slowly across the branch on his belly, his claws dug deep into the bark. He stopped when the branch jerked violently, his fur bristling. He bounded over the last few mouse-lengths to the strap, and started biting it and pulling at it desperately.

JadePaw nodded thoughtfully, "Looks like you could use a break, If you want i'll watch them for a bit if you want to do something." JadePaw offered, watching the kit's every move fondly. Kit's were such balls of fluffy fur, but so darn Cute! She wrapped her tail neatly over her paws, smiling. "I'm sure they'l be fine for me, I mean they look very well behaved." Jadepaw added, thinking about the though of having kits, even though she was forbidden.

Greymist

"It's fine dear, I enjoy watching them." Greymist said, cleaning out her fur. There weren't many things in camp here that they could get into trouble with. "Have you done anything interesting lately?" Greymist asked, wondering what sort of things the medicine cat apprentice might find interesting.

(Ugg, I have Writers Block, So This post will be short.. >.<)

JadePaw nodded her head "I found a new pool near the border and near it, there's lot's of herbs, including Catmint. I'm thinking of making a garden there." She mewed, swishing her tail.

Greymist

"That's very interesting, you should do that. Having a lot of fresh herbs on hand is always a good thing right?" Greymist said, watching Dawnbreeze come out of the medicine cat den, and start towards the two of them. "I think your mentor is looking for you, it was nice talking." Greymist said pleasantly. She stood and stretched, then walked off to make sure all her kits were being safe while they played.

Dawnbreeze

"Jadepaw, nice to see you've been having a relaxing morning." Dawnbreeze said, greeting her apprentice with a grin that would probably kill a mouse. "We've got some work to do today, all of our dried herbs got wet over night, they're probably no good anymore. We've got to sort out what could still be used, and get more of whatever was ruined." Dawnbreeze said, her pleasant demeanor now obviously sarcastic. Sorting herbs was a job best done with company though, so hopefully it wouln't take too long.

JadePaw nodded a GoodBye to GreyMist and mewed "Great, I was getting a bit bored there." Padding with her mentor, she went into the medicine den and looked around at the now wet herbs. She started to sort through the marigold, nipping the bad ones and leaving the good ones. Almost all the dried marigold was gone now. "We'l have to get more of that." She remarked, moving onto the juniper berries. She sniffed a bit of herb dust into her nose and sneezed "Woah." She laughed.

Dawnbreeze

Dawnbreeze started going through the coltsfoot first, since it was on the opposide end of their herb stores. Most of it was ruined as well, though more of it was still good than had been of the marigold. It would be rather devistating for any cat to be sick or injured right now, since almost all of their already low herb stores were gone. At least there was a chance that they could get fresh herbs now that it was newleaf. She moved on to the next herb, and went through it as well.
