Yeah, that is really mean. I hate animal abuse. ( Sorry for just barging in xD) You should report her, it's not even her horse! It would be like me kicking my friend's dog! (I would never do that! I loves lil Sophie!) *mutter mutter people getting away with it mutter mutter* lol

I am pretty pissed at the barn "helper" at the stables I ride at right now. >.>
I was riding a pony (Merlin) who likes to gallop to his stall. (Only when there is grain in it. X3) So, I was walking down the barn isle to his stall and he tried to run, pulling me with him. I stopped him and circled him, and when he started to spped up I did it again. Then, I didn't circle him and he bolted into his stall. The barn "helper" (who I will call.....Jesse) marched into his stall (which I was ABOUT to do) and started beating him multiple times with the lead rope, poor Merlin Flinching each time. She yanked him out and circled him and tried to bring him to his stall, but he started to trot. She yanked him to a stop and beat him again with the lead rope. Then, as she was starting down the isle again, he was walking like a gentleman, but when she looked at him, he would stop and flinch. Jesse just laughed and said, "Oh my gosh, what a STUPID horse! He stops when I look at him! So stupid!" And threw him in his stall.
I mean, I understand if you would smack him if he galloped to his stall, but not 10 times.
And I understand smacking him again the 2nd time, but not 20 times.
And I don't get why you would call a pony that stops and flinches when his beater looks at him stupid.

But, on the bright side, our lesson was AMAZING. We did a super fun course: Canter the vertical(no standards) to vertical bending line, canter up the steep part of the grand-prix hill, trot down the grand prix hill, pick up the canter at the bottom, jump an oxer diagonal line and halt at the light post. :3 FUN!

Oh yes, report her right away. e.o I hate to hear about abuse of any animal, as I am a passionate animal lover. I would of reported her the second I seen that, or.. at least the second I get home. xD
The farthest I have ever went to animal abuse was stepping on my cats' paws or tail. D8 But it's their own fault for getting in my way. >.> XD But I always chase after them to cuddle them and say sorry, [startsarcasm]then they bat my face and hiss and claw and run away, then I rush to the bathroom to clean up, get infected, get rushed to the hospital, get patched up, and sue my cats. <.< >.>[/endsarcasm]

I once went to a barn were i was assigned to ride a big chestnut tb. I put him in cross ties and started brushing the messy boy, and he just stood there like a tired old guy. All of a sudden this lady comes up and taps me on the shoulder and demands for me to tell her why i have her horse, so i told her that the trainer told me to ride him. And then she shrugs and goes to the horses head and that guy just down right looked at her with a death kill! As soon as she saw him bare his teeth, she smacked him in the face over and over agian, then turned to me and smiled and just said, if he ever does that, just smack him. I just looked at her like "wow, seriously?' and continued to brush him. And then the guy turned his head to sniff me (maybe bite me BUT STILL) and that lady came back over and BAM! her fists were poundin that pony in!! I was so startled, i fell backwards into the wall just like the horse as he pulled backwards. I was FURIOUS!! how can people be so cruel!!???? She then stopped and said, "YA, if he bites you just hit him" and then walked away like it was nothing!! I learned that at barns like that, ppl did it all the time, so i never once went to a barn like that agian (or at least untill i went to 4 other barns wit the same expieriences). I cant stand seeing ppl hurt animals without even a thought or care!!!! Its terrible!! =[
