was with her. She just dozed there and all she could

Tanglethorn looked over at Hazelstripe and Ashtuft, smiling.
Nothing, she thought, Nothing will pull them apart. Life or death, they will never be apart.
She wished that, someday, she could be like that.

Nightpaw padded into the medicine den. "Hazelstripe," he whispered. He felt like he was more worried about his mentor then almost anyone in the clan.

and looked over to Nightpaw. "Hello, Nightpaw."
she rasped, her eyes glazed with hope.

Nightpaw padded over to her and sat down next to Ashtuft. "How are you?" he asked softly. He hardly ever showed much emotion, but now his eyes were brimming with worry and his ears were flattened. His tail twitched nervously.

insisted giving Nightpaw a rusty lick on the ear. "I'll be OK." she
meowed trying to convince Nightpaw as much as herself.
