Really, guys, I hate that I made {most} of you sad/cry, but... I'm really happy that you liked the story! |D;;; It was written ten minutes before I went to study for the night, I didn't think it was that good. ^^;

@Wibeke: Sure. :3 If my skills where interchangeable, I would take you up on that deal! I hardly ever write, anyways.

I wanted to do a quick story before I put the computer away- I haven't been writing, lately. .-. B-but, it turned out much sadder than I had intended, just as a warning. ^^;;;

Alice was a sickly child- born albino with a week heart and failing liver, her life had been nothing but needles and worry on behalf of her family. She was not blind, luckily, but nearly there, and severally colorblind. Her world was primarily grey and white, with only the brightest reds appearing in shades of pale pink.

She was a brilliant girl, though, with a smile that lit up a room. Cheerful, optimistic, companionable and empathetic towards the smallest of things. She chased away the shadow of gloom and doom over her family's heads- the worry that she may not make it past the tender age of six.

Alice, despite being the ray of sun in everyone's day, had never had a friend.

Bleary red eyes fluttered open, shielded from the florescent lights by amber-tinted lenses. Feeling around- ignoring the I.V. in her arm- she pressed the button to raise her bed up into a sitting position. Her head felt heavy, her stomach twisted in unpleasant ways, and her vision swam. She closed her eyes.

Several hours later, she awoke feeling much better and being greeted by the sight of a stuffed white-and-pink rabbit, sitting idly on her bedside table with a tag in it's ear. She had apparently been moved to her normal room. Carefully, Alice picked up the little plush bunny, removing the tag with as much delicacy as she could muster, and read the note. It said;
"Alice- here's a friend. Name him whatever you want, he's made just for you. Momma sewed him out of the brightest red and white cloth she could find, so you should be able to see it. I helped.
--Love, your Big Brother"
She named him Lapin, and they where best friends.

On April 5th, 1992, Alice passed away at the age of ten, when her heart stopped in her sleep. She dreamed of white rabbits and tea parties that night, though no one knew it.
Lapin, her faithful friend, was burred beside her in a glass case, preserved for centuries.

Celina...&&...Nightstar

Celina is an elegant, high-respected cat who is rather pampered and spoilt. She wanted to prove that she was good at heart and as a TV apperance, planned to go down to the slums to help out.
In her luxurious travel-case, she murmered to her plushie,
"Ohhh, I hope it's not too scary down there...I'm really thinking of getting rid of the cameras."

When she got to the slum, a cat crawled out of a box...He looked alot like her, but not, in a way. His coat was ragged and filthy. His eyes were a dull green...Celina, was mezmorized. He opened his mouth...
"So your the prissy cat who came down here to toss a few coins and make yourself seem good...leave, now. You aren't welcome here". This myserious cat then ducked his head in disgust, away from the cameras. It was the voice of Celina's that stunned everyone. A shrill shriek.
"GET THOSE CAMERA'S AWAY NOW!! LEAVE NOW!"
Celina's eyes blazed as security ushered everyone away while the paparazzi argued.
"You, two as well please. And tell those paparazzi if any of this make it to the press, I will take care of them".
"As you wish, my lady"

Celina padded over to this kitty, and to her dismay, he burst into tears.
"Thank you, for getting rid of those horrible things. I don't want to..NO!"
Celina shushed him and brought him gently closer.
"Your name, what is your name...?"
"My name is Nightstar...I was bred to be a performance cat, but because I didn't cut it, they beat me harshly. I ran away. Anything was better than that hell."

Celina stopped, thinking...sure, she loved the pampered life, toys, massages, but she despised being in the spotlight. Her whole life, she was just an accessory, to make people happy...but she wasn't happy.

"I don't like being a showcat either, Nightstar".
Nightstar slowly took Celina's paw in his, and whispered...
"Run away with me then, Celina. Feel freedom. Money doesn't buy happiness"

1 year later, the Paparazzi found Celina, Nightstar, and another kitty...

Polyester [♂] x Veranda [♀]
Polyester was a prodigy pup with extremely pure, though delicate white fur with shines and shades of shady slate. He was immensely popular among the other animals and he was loved by many who didn't have fur as clean as his.
Veranda is a sweatheart, though very shy and lonely. She gets very embarrassed when she's all alone as she sees others having a great stroll with their friends. She blushes all of the time, so some areas of her cream fur were permanently pink.

Polyester and Veranda became good friends. They both have really fine and sleek fur. Polyester thought that Veranda wouldn't feel as lonely as she used to if she was with him.
...
Until Waldo came along... Waldo was an evil, sinister, clumsy genius. He stalks Polyester for the fur. One day, Waldo killed Polyester (for some reason...) and used his fur to make himself his own pair of PJs.
...
Veranda thought Polyester had left her forever without telling her so, so she now is as lonelier than ever. No one to be on her side, no one to care about any more.
