I am usually here for at least 2 hours. Sometimes I will come on and off, but I would think it averages to 2 hours per day at the least. I don't really calculate, but it's probably a lot more. On school days I will come on later in the day after I finish homework, but weekends is usually when I am going to be here the most, since school will be starting in just under a month.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position:
Though not officially, and it may not be a lot, I do help settle arguments between friends. I know a bit of Spanish as well, but I am not fluent in it x3 Still learning that. And I am also used to the repetitive questions, I work around little kids a lot who don't seem to know anything but 'why?', so I am usually patient with explaining things. And I don't usually lose my temper at all, so I wouldn't continue or start arguments. I also do know a little bit about trades, not a whole lot about Rares List trades but I do know about smaller scale trades. I am mostly familiar with the forums and maneuvering around the site, so I could answer any questions about that.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?:
When I first joined all the way back in October of '08, I never really introduced myself and I never had the opportunity to have nice people help me learn the site better. I was too scared to post anywhere for a while, because I never knew about General Helpers, and I would just love to be able to help people so they don't feel the same way I did back then.
I am also one of two crew members on another site I go on, and I have loved doing my job there and it would just be so great to continue helping people, since the other site is potentially being shut down. (It's Petz4fun.com, I am the member 'Phoenix'. If it is needed to mention, I wasn't sure.) I also love to help out, I usually try as much as I can.

I find myself to be good with the okeaki, allowing me to help others in that respect, and can help with trading questions, general rules and help to stop bullying.
Why do you want to be a General Helper? I have always loved helping people, and I think I will enjoy helping others understand this website and how it works!

Many times i have CS on a tab while i'm doing other things on the computer. But Actively chatting, playing and forum searching i would say 3-4 hours on weekdays and around 6 on weekends


Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?

On CS, I feel that i can bring lots of past knowledge to help out. I have been around here for the past 4 years and have kept up with everything. So if people ask "Why do these 2nd gens say they are adopted in 09 but in the archive it says 08?" I'll be able to answer that cause i was here and i know what happened and why. I also feel that my experience would help me answer their questions about siblings having an account, and what to do in that situation. I also know the rules and i feel that i could explain them to the newbies in ways that they could understand with some helpful examples. I know my way around the site very well, and i know what kind of topic should go into each forum. With Oekaki, i may not post a lot of drawings (because my art sucks xD) but i feel that i can explain to a newbie how it works, what all the different tools do and how layers work. As well as explain the forum side of things, like the like button, 'Color me in', and how to add people to your editable drawing. With the profiles, i am able to help assist them in picking or adding an avatar as well as being able to talk them through the process of how to host their avatar or other photos on to a hosting site so they may use them or how to use the 'Browse' feature of the forum. As for trading, i know some tips and tricks that i could share with them when they are having trouble. I can help them find thier way around the Trades board and the Free Pets board so they can start trading. Also i can introduce them to the very helpful threads on trading and where to go to get advice. Throughout my time here i have been trading, and I consider my self an experienced enough trader to help them out. I can also explain how our rarity system works, and why the change happened and how to use rarities in thier trades.

Outside of CS i have gained many skills that would make me a good candidate for a General Helper. I was a Newbie Helper on Alacrity. Alacrity has around 20,000 members and at least 300 people logging in each day. This was around 20+ new people joining each day.I was in this position from 2010 to 2012. It was our job to welcome the newbies, help them around the site and assist them on becoming good members of the community. As well as answer any questions anyone had about the site. Since this job is almost exactly like being a General Helper, i feel that i already have 2 years of experience i can bring to this. I was also the founder of the Newbie Raffle, and Helper run giveaway that now has been integrated into the site and is being run by all members of the staff. Not only do i think this is a very good example of my dedication to the job and the extent i was willing to go to help them but i also feel that this shows off my leadership skills. I don't wait around for someone to tell me what to do or where i can help, i am able to see what i need to do and accomplish it myself. This can also be applied as i put my self out there and go to the newbies to help them instead of them having to find me. With this job, i learned how to give advice to members with more experience and who are older than me, respectfully. (I feel this is very important, a condescending helper does no help at all)

With working with people in real life i am a 'PAL', this stands for "Peer Assisted Learning". We are paired with a kid younger then us who is having difficulties in school due to any number of reasons (family, drama, depression ect) We are taught how to work with them and how to help them work through their conflicts. This would be very helpful while being a General Helper since it is not quite Peer mediation, but i think it can be applied in the same way.

Why do you want to be a General Helper?

I would really like to make a difference in the CS community. Lately, people have been complaining more and more about how rude the Newbies are and how they always send them the most ridiculous trades. This often leads to a mean cancel message and the newbie is left not knowing where they went wrong. A few more negative experiences and they might just give up all together. I want to put a stop to this cycle. Get to the newbies first, explain to them what is expected of them when trading and how to not offend people. That way they can avoid the negative experiences and have a more enjoyable time here. I just want to help people enjoy this site as much as i do. When they are confused, intimidated and have no idea where to go, this place isn't all that fun. With such a big community a newbie can easily get lost and ignored. I want to be there to find them and give them the personal attention they need to have fun and be successful here. Also, the selfish part of me wants to become a helper because every time i help someone i get that warm fuzzy feeling and my day gets a little brighter. By being a GH i will have many more opportunities to help out and experience this.

Well I haven't been on lately because no one had had anything to ask me but if I got to be a general helper I'd be one every day :3 I always have time to get on the Internet and I love helping people and it equals be a honor to help people even more and an honor to be a general helper of a amazing game : )
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? Well I'm always on the computer 19 hours a day in the summer so that's how long I could be on a day on CS : ) but during school I'll be on 8 or 9 or less hours a day : )

I kmow how to work the tools in oekaki and I love answering questions for people because CS is a amazingly fun game and I love to help people do hey too can experience how amazing CS is just like I did : ) I really love to help new members get used to the game also : ) I also take Spanish class so I know how to speak Spanish pretty good : )
Why do you want to be a General Helper? Because I love helping and I want everyone to realize that they can ask me if they have any questions and I'll answer them with all my knowledge and I really want people to experience CS I'd amazing like I did and they can learn how to play CS right and get along with the functions of CS : )

Summer,Winter,and vacations+weekends: so many i cannot count so ill just give my day....11:30-4pm....take a brake and then say 5 or 6pm-then all the way to 12/1 am XD
School days: 6am-6:59 then 2:30-11:45pm
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: I do actually understand all the tools in oekaki and i have helped many users fix thir drawings when needed layer hlp and i have notified mods and helped the artist if they posted their picture in the wrong section or broke one of the oekaki rules.I speak portugeuse in real life but it may be a little challenging to type it...i have studied german and spanish.And in the forum i do answer alot of peoples questions and help them.I RP a lot so i understand the elements to one. and i have actually talked two people out of doing something really bad before...one was suicide
Why do you want to be a General Helper: I always love to help around CS and taking challenges and going out of my way for others is nothing new.Sometimes people say im so good with my words and choices i should just be a motivational speaker,I do admit if im going around and see competitions or adoptions i can be a bit of a mini mod sometimes ^^' but only for the good of the person so they can maybe edit the form in time so they dont have to get disqualified.I do love seeing newbies enter the CS world and a lot of them tend to have trouble...I always love going around gifting them some free pets and items...I explain about the different outcomes and how they grow..and then i add on how to add items..Only because i remember when i first joined...i didnt no how to add items XD. and when they have coppa trouble i help them with that.I love to go around the oekaki to scan through how elegant and beautiful peoples art is and how every one is unique in it's own way, if i ever see a call of help im usually the first to go to them and send them a message explaining it to them. I love everyone and i believe i have a great personality and if you ask anyone here,at the mall,in the sky...they'll all agree to tell you im that weird,wacky,funny person who'll always be there and give support when needed.And i know how sometimes people need help they dont want it for the fear of them looking dumb or that we(mods or helpers)are angry at them..If i was there i'd make them feel great inside and like the problem was no big deal because of how simple the ordeal was solved.

2-5 hours a day. I always have it open on my computer and I check my messages throughout the day on my phone.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position
I have very good experience with oekaki and although I don't use it as my "main" art program, I enjoy playing around with it and I consider myself very handy with it. I have some beginner knowledge of Spanish and French, but I can carry on simple conversations and communicate. I also work with the new students at my school and I can convey instructions and help very well.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?
There are a lot of reasons why I want to be a General Helper. I honestly do find great joy in helping people. Also anything I can do to help Chicken Smoothie and help the new members stay and enjoy Chicken Smoothie as much as I do is a joy in itself. It always saddens me to see the new members of Chicken Smoothie only stay for a little and then not come back. I always wished I could help them and encourage them to stay. I feel like being a General Helper would be an excellent way to give back to the Chicken Smoothie community and give my fellow users my knowledge and help.

I am on CS every day of the week, even when I am on vacation.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
The amount of time I spend on CS daily varies. Some days I am on for five hours, others I am on for ten hours. Sometimes I am on other sites as well, so I may change the sites I am on, though I am on my lap top for at least 4 hours a day.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position:
In real life, I lead some community service projects in my town, so I know how to lead people while still being generous and respectful. I also love to give to people, as if fills me with a good, warm feeling. I am quite good at answering questions, and I can remember rules easily. I have recently taught myself more about art, so I can answer many questions regarding different forms of art, the art related forum boards, oekaki, art programs, and so on. I am also very skilled with the post markup on Chicken Smoothie. I try never to hurt a single soul, and even when someone else begins to scream at me, I try to fix the situation in a polite and kind way. I am not bothered or annoyed easily, either. I am also very mature, though I can read most chat speak, so I won't have a problem communicating with any members. I am also very familiar with the rules of CS, and I have read the announcements many times over time. I love to help others, and knowing that I have done good things makes me inspired to be even greater than I am right now.

Why do you want to be a General Helper?
First of all, I love learning experiences, and I believe this would be a huge one for me. I love to explore new things, and to be given new responsibilities. I look forward to the fun times I could have, and the new people I could meet. I love to help others in every way I can. As of now, I don't have as many opportunities to grow in the internet, and I would love to take this next step on Chicken Smoothie. I have longed to be acknowledged as an official helper on CS for some time now, and I think I have matured enough to get the position. I am looking forward to befriending other General Helpers and to many chances to help others along this road.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?: well, i love helping people and i miss adopting players like i used to do on wajas. i've been here long enough to know how the rules work, and i have explained how the oekaki works to countless players already c: i always respond quickly to messages and i even have a rarities list next to my computer (i got bored in math class....). i've been in countless bands (ok, probably more like 10-13) so i know how to calm people down and stay calm when someone gets frustrated. also i have a bit of HTML and art experience and really just a general computer knowledge so i can help people with other things, not just CS.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?: to help people on CS that need me! i like doing that already, and the more people that need help the better c: i've been frustrated and needed help before and i'm really grateful to the people who helped me, i would love to be in their position
