Cynthia shook her head and cuddled closer to him.

Conifer shied away at his touch, lowering his head. He was analyzing how it'd felt...his hand had been warm and soft, but suprising. Reaching his neck forward, he sniffed the fish, and then took it cautiously.

Shine kissed her head "Cynthia... Please..."

Kodi rubbed Conifer's neck "May I get on your back, Mr. Timberjack?"

Conifer shied away again, but not as far. He reached his head foreward and sniffed Kodi's hand. He then looked at Skies with a cooeing sound.

Skies nodded and smiled "Its okay." Kodi smiled and his blue eyes shone with pride. I'm not dead yet!!!

Conifer's heart felt like it was beating out of his chest. He took a few more sniffs of Kodi's hand before he closed his eyes and put the tip of his snout in Kodi's palm. He took a few deep breaths to calm himself, then opened his bright yellow eyes to meet Kodi's blue ones. He only kept eye contact for a second before looking away again.
