He's just a background character now. Sure we all love (or loved) him, but Erin has been subtly easing us away from him. With each new generation of main characters, the distance of Firestar from us has set him up for a dramatic death scene. Probably with his last life ending in a final clash against the Dark Forest with Tigerstar.

That's just my guess, though.

I actually hate how it goes from the generations. My favorite characters are mostly from the older books. And Firestar just looses one life. He still has more left. I have finished Fading Echoes and have read every warriors book. But one thing I wish would happen is that Graystripe becomes deputy again. Whitestorm even told Firestar that Graystripe was the right deputy. I don't think its fair that Brambleclaw took his place.

Yeah, Mistyfoot becomes Mistystar. And I miss Whitestorm D: He was so, I don't know how to describe it, wise and everything else. I've read The Fourth Apprentice but not Fading Echoes. Unless I can get my hands on it on amazon, then I'll have to wait until next year for my school to order it x.x

Wihestorm was my favorite cat and I think Brambleclaw needs to die! I hate Brambleclaw he is just sooo annoying! I can't stand him!

I don't think Brambleclaw has really been around enough in the stories for me to hate him/find him annoying. Haha.

Firestar dying.... Well, eventually they're all gonna die, and he's had a good run and rep in the first series, but has become a shadow and only mentioned a bit more than the normal warriors simply because he is leader. Though he is the first main character, the one that began the entire cycle of fans and such, it would become unrealistic for him to continue living through all the hardships the clans face, especially as leader he throws himself in more danger to keep his clan safe.

As far as Brambleclaw goes, I would prefer a different leader, because this cat bugs me a bit, seems a bit too boring with not as much personality as the others. Actually, if Breezepelt were in that clan, I'd find it interesting for him to become leader- so you see, innocent little Brambleclaw doesn't amuse me as much as someone else in ThunderClan may. Even Graystripe would be better. But unless something happens to Brambleclaw soon, I'm afraid we're gonna have to deal with him for a while :<
