There were and are soooo many piled in the pound. With them not being available for free now, hopefully they will be more appreciated by everyone.

Why are you not allowed to make any more of them though? Because it's Lawliet's line art? Or is there some kind of copyright infringement or something with the character names? I haven't read the books and don't know how many more there are to make but could they just be made with the new line art if people want them? It's not a big deal to me one way or another. The ones I've adopted I gave names that I wanted anyway because like I said, I haven't read the books and don't really care to know the characters really.

Actually, it's Tess's lineart, and since Lawliet retired from her artist position, I think Tess saw an opening to make the growable cats we've wanted for so long. I don't think it has anything to do with copyright issues, they were just old and needed to be retired.
